Audi has finally changed the way it names its incredible models!

Back in 2017, Audi unveiled a set of model naming schemes, based on even numbers, such as 109-128 hp named 30, 536 hp named 70, and presented with words such as TFSI, TDI or quattro.

Although the transformation began with the Q8 e-tron, the official announcement of the brand should be on the Q6 e-tron, and this operation was confirmed by Florian Hauser, who is currently in charge of sales and marketing of the brand's electric vehicles, who told overseas media that the company no longer needs to use numbers to convey this information to the outside world due to electric vehicles.

In the case of the Q6 e-tron, the most entry-level version is directly called the Q6 e-tron quattro, while the more powerful version is directly following Audi's previous rules and is called the SQ6 e-tron. In the future, the more affordable rear-wheel drive version will be added to the model lineup, and the car will also be simply called the Q6 e-tron.

Although the relevant nomenclature is currently only used in electric vehicles, according to relevant news, the digital nomenclature will also be removed from the internal combustion engine product line in the future, but the brand has not yet thought of an alternative.
