Why did Ford, as a capitalist, do this? for two reasons:

One is to make Ford affordable for American workers. Second, we should have time to drive Ford cars, go out to rest, play, and expand the demand for car consumption.

Only when workers' wages are high, their lives are better, and their consumption power is stronger, can they drive the sustained growth of production.
