Wen Linhong, deputy director of the Horticulture Institute of the Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences and captain of the provincial wild vegetable team, told reporters that seedlings are the first step for wild vegetables to grow naturally from the wild to artificial large-scale planting, and there must be seedlings to carry out large-scale planting and cultivation. Cheng Taizhi, the person in charge of the base, said: "At present, our seedling base has 630 acres and 13 varieties, some of which are the third generation and some are the fourth generation. Disease resistance, stress resistance, and cold resistance have been relatively stable.
With the support of seedlings, the base also implements management methods such as the integration of water and fertilizer to ensure the growth environment of wild vegetables, extend the harvest cycle, and achieve long-term stable supply to the market.
"We have done a lot of nutritional analysis of wild vegetables, which have a lot of nutrients that are beneficial to the human body, and there are some medicinal ingredients, such as isoquercitrin, polysaccharides, myricetin, etc., which are recognized as beneficial to the human body. At present, more than 3,000 acres of wild vegetables such as ice cabbage, heart cabbage, and rich vegetables are planted in Huangping County, and thousands of catties of wild vegetables are sent to all parts of the country from here every day.
Zhang Chengtang, manager of the production department of Qiandongnan Liuyuan Fresh Green Catering Management Service Co., Ltd., told reporters that there are strict standards for the picking of each kind of vegetables, such as the picking of ice cabbage should be shorter and tenderer, and the purple-backed geranium should be longer, four or five inches in length, and it should be guaranteed that there are 4 or 5 leaves on it. In order to maintain the freshness of the wild vegetables, the picking time is required to be picked from 7 am to 10 am, and the picked wild vegetables are also sent to the cold storage, where they are cooled to 3 to 8 degrees. The express delivery will be sent on the same day, and it will be delivered to customers in the provincial capital city at 10 o'clock in the morning the next day.

Yang Panpan, a buyer from Sichuan, told reporters that the environment and temperature in Guizhou have made wild vegetables grow particularly well. She is very optimistic about the cultivation of wild vegetables, and the cooperation with Huangping wild vegetables is expected to be tens of millions of yuan.
Last year, the Huangping wild vegetable industry achieved an output value of 15 million yuan and solved the employment of 15,000 people. In the future, the local plan will expand the planting area of wild vegetables to 5,000 acres, and the radiation will drive the planting of 300,000 acres of wild vegetables in the province.
