Recently, Yangpu District Library and Shanghai People's Publishing House jointly held a lecture on "The Belt and Road in Foreign Currency", inviting Du Xiaojian, a currency collector and researcher, and Wang Yuzhu, director of the Finance and Trade Research Office of the Shanghai Institute of International Studies and secretary-general of the "Belt and Road" and Shanghai Research Center, to visit the national reading brand activity of Young Study, taking currency as the starting point, along the "ancient Silk Road" to the "Belt and Road", leading readers to appreciate the fruitful results of the "Belt and Road".
At the event, Du Xiaojian displayed his physical collection and told the connection between currency patterns and China. Port of Colombo, Sri Lanka, Gama Mosque in Algeria, Gwadar Port, Pakistan...... These constructions or projects, which are printed on foreign currency, are made in China. In the 70s of the last century, the 300,000-ton dry dock that China helped Malta build is still in operation today, and is affectionately known as the "Red China Dock" by the locals.
Du Xiaojian also brought a commemorative silver coin issued by the National Bank of Belarus for the fifth anniversary of the visit of President Xi Jinping and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko to the China-Belarus Boulder Industrial Park. The industrial park is the most important economic and trade cooperation project between China and Belarus, and the China-Belarus Boulder Industrial Park has been developed from scratch for ten years, and has now developed into a high-tech industrial park, which has become a new business card of Belarus and a bright pearl of the "Belt and Road".
