"At present, there are as many as 15 varieties of seedlings planted in the whole region, which basically cover the types of greening seedlings commonly used in Northwest China. According to the person in charge of the district greening office, in order to create a greening landscape effect of "flowers in three seasons and evergreen in four seasons", the greening institute has planted 217 trees, 1,208 flower shrubs and 38,500 small shrubs in the urban area since 2017 in accordance with the combination of "trees, shrubs and grasses", according to the local climate and soil conditions. It is worth mentioning that through the organic planting of seedling varieties, Tianshui North Road presents the unique urban greening characteristics of Northwest China.

In recent years, Chengguan District has continued to promote the upgrading of greening in the two mountains, with a green area of 66,900 mu, more than 30 million trees of various types, a forest coverage rate of 20.02%, a total forest volume of 45,200 cubic meters, and 185 plant species, which has initially formed a perfect artificial forest ecosystem. At the same time, 29 power irrigation projects and 85 pumping stations have been built, more than 1,354 kilometers of water supply pipelines of various types have been laid, and 14 forestry management stations have been established, forming a relatively complete infrastructure system and laying a good foundation for the protection of forest resources.
Lin Yanchun, the greening department of the Liangshan Headquarters in Chengguan District, introduced that this year will focus on the implementation of 2,000 acres of "dual" afforestation projects in 2023, and plans to plant 148047 seedlings such as arborvitae and spruce. At the same time, it is planned to plant more than 5,000 seedlings such as spruce and apricot, 200 apricot and 14 cedars in the landscape belt of Luojiu Highway, and 14,000 seedlings such as Wenguan fruit, black locust and spruce are planted in the green blank area along the "first road of the provincial gate".
