Bering Yachts is known for producing steel and aluminium expedition yachts 20-50 meters in length. Now a new step has been taken. In response to the growing market demand for Bering Marine brand launcher-assisted boats, the Turkish yacht manufacturer has launched a range of multihull expedition yachts.
The first transatlantic catamaran built by Bering has been keel-laid at its Antalya shipyard, and a scale model of the boat was unveiled at the 2024 Palm Beach International Boat Show.
During the keel laying ceremony, the shipowner welded a coin to the keel, implying that the ship would carry their dreams and expectations and sail away. Alexei Mikhailov, founder of Bering Yachts, enthuses: "A lot of people like a multi-hull design, and we are no exception. He continues: "This aluminium catamaran will have the adventure capabilities, spaciousness and craftsmanship that Bering yachts are all about. On board, you will experience safety, comfort and quality of life like never before. ”
The B60 catamaran is 18.9 meters long, 8.6 meters wide and has a displacement of 62.8 tons. The owners have carefully selected a spacious master suite, two guest cabins, a crew cabin and an enclosed flybridge to meet their diverse needs.
Two powerful Cummins engines provide the catamaran with a lot of power, allowing it to reach a cruising speed of 12-13 knots, and even 15 knots at top speed. The range is more than 3,000 nautical miles, and the 1.4-metre draft allows the B60 to traverse the Caribbean, other coastal waters and even some inland waters with ease.
The main deck has a 50-square-metre multi-functional interior, including a lounge with height-adjustable desks, a kitchen with a wet bar and a dining table. The 27.7 sqm boat deck can be used to store annex boats or water toys. The flybridge deck is accessed via an open-air staircase, and a 10 square metre swim platform on the lower deck can be raised to expand the aft deck area and add more leisure options to life on board.
Bering proudly stated that the B60 CAT demo video garnered a huge amount of attention at the 2024 Palm Beach International Boat Show and had a wide impact with an online audience. The company is even more excited to report that it has received a large number of applications for orders for the catamaran, which is undoubtedly the best recognition of their exquisite craftsmanship and innovative design.
