Mistakenly entered the Chayu Mengla Mountain and Na Twist Mountain

She Zhonglan

On October 27, 2022, early in the morning, I was in the Grand Hotel, looking up through the window to photograph the snow-capped mountains across the Chayu River.

That year, I strayed into Chayu Mengla Mountain and Na Twist Mountain, almost ate poisonous fruits, and encountered wild brown bears...

(Outside the hotel window, across the Chayu River is Shanggaba Village, which has the Bangla Mountain in the text, the primeval forest in the uninhabited area, and wild wild animals such as wild brown bears, wild boars, wild monkeys)

At 12:30 p.m., I went out and went to the square opposite Chayu of Gaba Bridge in Chayu County for free nucleic acid. Showing a military leave certificate is preferred, and there is no queue or less queue. At the police station of the Yanjiang Road Police Station, several police officers were on duty to maintain the order of the queue.

That year, I strayed into Chayu Mengla Mountain and Na Twist Mountain, almost ate poisonous fruits, and encountered wild brown bears...

(Free nucleic acid in Chayu County Square)

After doing the nucleic acid, enjoy the beautiful snow-capped mountains around the shooting square. Thinking that a person going back to the hotel early was afraid that he would be too lonely, he simply walked around aimlessly. Walking along the gentle slope towards a village, you will see Tibetan houses such as Sunshine Apartment. Approaching the house number, it turned out to be Shanggaba Village, obviously, far from the beautiful village in the border area of Xiachayu, but the geographical location is on the edge of the county. I checked the rental price, called the landlord at the door, and made an appointment to see the house in the afternoon. Walk a few steps and ask for two other houses, painters rent accommodations, dirty and messy, 400 yuan/month. The one a few steps further on, there is no house, the Tibetan male landlady is tall, half-old man, and said that there will be a house in a few days, about 500-600 yuan/month.

Soak up the sunshine, walk around Gaba Village, and see the Hero Slope Memorial Park on the other side of the river, which reminds me of the friends of the military and local areas of Xiachayu. Walking up the slope, a Tibetan villager is chopping firewood, and the Gesang flowers on the side of the road are so beautiful. On the right side of the slope, a yellow-leaved ginkgo tree, ginkgo biloba nearby, and snowy mountains in the distance, complement each other. Snow mountains, ginkgo, sunshine, blue sky and white clouds, retired female soldiers. Baiyun is the Hada of the Snow Mountain, and I am the daughter of the Snow Mountain. Gesang flowers are my love, the wind is with me, and the stream is brave for me. A secluded path up the mountain, mysterious and twisting and turning. The sun is shining, the umbrella covers the head and face, the prayer flags dance wildly, and the heart is drunk.

When I walked up the road, I saw a short Tibetan man riding a motorcycle, called me and told me to look at the house. Sunshine apartment, single room, with water heater and washing machine, no quilt and other utensils, monthly rent of 500 yuan / month, must be rented for 4 to 6 months, the boss is willing to rent. I just understand that I have no intention of renting in the county. The village road is closed and goes back to the village entrance to the square.

Suddenly, I found that a path stretched up the mountain, and I was driven by curiosity to climb the mountain to have a look. I saw a five-colored prayer flag floating in the forest of the Yuanjian Mountain Range, and I wanted to go up to the mountain to see it up close. I was alone, on the mountain behind the village of Denggaba, in order to see the scenery such as prayer flags on the mountain beams. Drinking water ditches along the way, gurgling water. Roadside trees, weeds, thorns, red leaves and yellow leaves, small red wild fruits, narrow and steep cement roads. At the fork in the road, two motorcycles were parked with signs protecting drinking water, possibly motorcycles of plumbers. Above the fork in the road, there is no concrete road, only a hidden very narrow dirt path overgrown with weeds, which seems to be a road but not a road. Red leaves and yellow leaves accompany me all the way. There is a hidden cistern in the middle of the mountain, which is unmanned, and there appears to be a camera above the small roof. I went up the mountain road along the barbed wire fence, a large copper-colored prayer wheel, the water gurgling under the cylinder, and rows of five-colored prayer flags dancing in the wind in the forest. At the prayer flags, in a few small wooden houses, the light is dark, and there are quaint and old prayer wheels inside. The mountains are surprisingly quiet, and a person is so scared that he hurriedly shoots prayer flags and prayer cylinders. On the thorn tree on the side of the road, there are many small red beautiful wild fruits, bunches of them, which are very attractive. I don't have time to pick it for the time being, so I want to continue to go up the mountain to see the scenery first, and I want to pick it when I turn back and return along the road. Under the thorn bush, I saw a bunch of very beautiful wild fruits, picked them, and put them in a small pocket outside the leisure bag.

(Edible wild fruit)

The heart can't resist the temptation of the beautiful scenery and advances to the top of the snow-capped mountain. No man's land, no roads in the mountains, primeval forests. Along the edge of the ditch, walking up the hill, I found a tall boulder, which was particularly conspicuous under the light of the sun. I climbed up with my hands and feet, stood on the rocks, held up a small ultraviolet flower umbrella, and watched the sightseeing. Look at the colorful prayer flags and see the higher snowy mountains.

In the mountains, I met a few handsome young Tibetan men who were descending the mountain, and they saw me standing on a big rock in the middle of the mountain from a distance, and hurriedly shouted to me: "Hey, it's dangerous one by one! What are you doing, what are you doing up the mountain, be careful, there are wild boars, wild monkeys, wild brown bears in the mountains, and they will sneak up and hurt you." Warm-hearted, kind, and straightforward, they waved to me anxiously and shouted to me again: "Come here, come down with us, and go down the mountain immediately, it's too dangerous to be alone!" Even the women in this village never go up to this mountain, and even men rarely dare to go up this mountain, and only a very small number of local Tibetan men occasionally go up the mountain to burn incense. I replied loudly: "Hey, I'm from the mainland, I used to be a soldier in Nyingchi, and this time I'm back to Tibet to see the scenery." "I staggered in their direction through a thorny thatched jungle. The mountains are full of tall trees, overgrown with thorns, and there is no road, which is too difficult to walk. When I walked to them, I pointed to the highest snowy mountain and asked them how far it was. They said that familiar passers-by would have to walk for at least one day, and if they couldn't come back that night, they would have to camp in the snowy mountain.

Walking down together, I didn't take a few steps, suddenly, my eyes lit up, wow, on the tall thorny tree, there are a lot of wild August melons and other wild fruits, especially the clusters of oval purple August melons (also called soil bananas) are particularly attractive. Seeing a bunch of wild August melons, I immediately reminded me of the border Xiachayu, because there are also in the Xiachayu Mountain, I know this wild fruit, I have climbed the tree in the mountain over there and picked it a few times, it is fragrant and glutinous, and it is delicious. I stopped them in amazement: "Look, August melons, wild, you wait for me, I want to pick a few before leaving." They kindly shouted to me: "Don't stay, hurry up and go down the mountain with us, we have picked a lot of wild August melons on the mountain, after coming down the mountain, I will give you a few points, safety first, you are a woman, you really can't go up this mountain, it's too dangerous!" He turned his head and looked up at the sky, at the treetops with many August melons, and said with difficulty, "Hanging on the top of such a tall thorn treetop, the tree is full of sharp thorns, and there is no way to go up and pick it." Forget it, let's go. "I just went up the mountain, all the way to see the scenery, they persuaded me to go down the mountain, I was reluctant to give up enjoying the scenery, I didn't fully listen to their kind advice, did not follow their footsteps. They soon disappeared, and they could not be heard anymore, and they ran down the mountain as if they had evaporated from the world. I was left behind, so I had to take the risk of staying in the mountains. I was nervous and panicked, afraid of encountering a wild brown bear.

(Wild August melon, also called soil banana)

I climbed the ridge and looked for directions. A lot of five-colored prayer flags come into view. Can't help but venture closer and appreciate it from a distance. So many prayer flags, colorful, strings, layered, scattered, hanging in the mountains and woods, fluttering with the wind, like a fairyland.

(There are a lot of colorful prayer flags on the mountain)

After a while, another handsome Tibetan man came up, who went up the mountain to inspect the main water pipe. Seeing him as a stranger, it seems that he has seen a great savior. I took the opportunity to say, "I want to see the scenery, but I'm afraid of wild animals, so I'll go up the mountain with you." He told me: "None of the women go up this mountain, not even the women in this village dare to go up this mountain, only very few brave Tibetan men occasionally go up the mountain to burn incense." I begged him, "Then I'll accompany you to check the pipeline, you check the pipeline, I'll look at the scenery behind you, and go down the mountain together by the way." "He didn't care about me, so he hurriedly checked the pipe. I hurriedly photographed the prayer flags, but I didn't have time to appreciate them, and when I turned around, I found that the other person was gone, and I don't know which forest I had disappeared in. I was even more panicked and helpless. In my ears, the wind is whistling, the snow water stream is rattling, the prayer flags are fluttering in the wind, the trees are shaking, and the forest is quiet. Mom, I'm so scared alone, the mountain is surprisingly quiet, only the sound of the wind and the sound of flowing water. Unexpectedly, I strayed into the wild brown bears, wild boars, and wild monkeys, and the primeval forest of the mountains.

Under the panic, I lost my sense of direction, and unconsciously, I lost my way, and it was easier to misjudge the direction. I became more and more bottomless in my heart, and I was more afraid, mainly because I was afraid that the brown bear would suddenly come out and sneak attack. At this time, I am not afraid of the silence in the mountains, but also of brown bears, wild boars, and wild monkeys under the snowy mountains. There is no road on the mountain, thorns are thick, and I meet a bunch of wild August melons on the thorn tree, which is particularly attractive, mouth-watering, out of reach, all hanging in the top of the tall thorny treetops, can not be picked with bare hands, leave it to the wild animals to eat.

Looking for a way down the mountain, at first, I couldn't go out, I couldn't go in any direction, I strayed into a maze, and I was so flustered, mainly afraid of meeting wild bears. It's getting dark, and I'm even more anxious. A thought flashed through my mind, I really can't do it, I thought to myself, can I call 110 for help, the police take me down the mountain? When I think about it, will I be laughed at? I was entangled in contradictions, took out my mobile phone to look, and found that there was no signal in the mountains, and I couldn't contact the outside world, so it was hopeless to call the police for help. I had to go down by feeling, walking and walking, walking to the edge of the cliff, and I couldn't go down. Change directions, go to the left, up and down, but still can't find the way down.

Turn back, stand on a huge high rock, and look out. The road to the sky, vaguely overlooking the Heroes Slope Memorial Park on the opposite side of the Chayu River at the foot of the mountain, suddenly filled with hope. On the evening of July 28 this year, I went there once by myself to see the martyrs' monuments and tombstones. Through the Heroes' Slope Memorial Park on the hill across the river, I finally judged the right direction to descend the mountain. After the horror, he was overjoyed. Then I went to look for the way down the mountain, but I didn't find it for a while, and I couldn't get out of the maze for a long time.

That year, I strayed into Chayu Mengla Mountain and Na Twist Mountain, almost ate poisonous fruits, and encountered wild brown bears...

(Lost, Heroes Poe Memorial Park is the direction)

Later, I came up with a way to find the water on the mountain, and the water flowed downward, listening to the sound of water with my ears all the way. I finally found the stream that flowed down the mountain, so I was pleasantly surprised, and hurried closer to the direction of the sound of the water. Hey, but I didn't expect that I finally walked to the edge of the flowing ditch, but I was blocked by a long and tall barbed wire, and I couldn't turn over it visually. Looking through the barbed wire, you can go down the hill from that side, and remember that when I went up the mountain, I came up from that side. Along the barbed wire fence of the ditch, go to find the exit, go down, walk a long woodland, and it is impassable. When he was in trouble, he turned and walked to a high place, and when he came to the lower right of the big rock, he found a gap in the iron net, jumped over the ditch, found the mountain road from which he came, and staggered down the mountain along the narrow and steep slope overgrown with weeds.

Walking to the mountain section behind the mountain reservoir, I was so hungry that I stumbled upon the upper left side of the road, on the edge of the cliff, on the top of two tall thorny trees, hanging several wild August melons. I immediately threw my backpack and umbrella on the side of the road, gritted my teeth and climbed the dirt slope with my bare hands, and wanted to pick and eat. I stood on my tiptoes and looked up, unable to get closer, unable to pick it up with my bare hands. Pick a long dry branch, stretch it to the treetops, can't poke it down, toss for a while, provoke the August melon to shake proudly on the tree. I stood on the big stone on the edge of the cliff next to the thorn tree, stretched out the branch to poke it, but I still couldn't poke it down, but I couldn't reach it, and I was in a hurry. Both hands shook the thick branches of the thorn tree, and none of them could be shaken. Another way, step on a thorn branch on the sole of the left foot, pull the trunk with the left hand, grab the August melon rattan with the right hand, pull it down hard, and finally get two small ones, the bigger the more difficult to pick, in the highest part of the thorn tree, the most sun, the largest grow, the most delicious. I can't pick a big one, forget it, let the brown bear eat it, the bear is more delicious than me, haha.

The sun is about to set, so pick up your bag and go down. Passing by the door of a villager in Shanggaba Village, a Tibetan boy was lying on the lawn basking in the sun and looking at his mobile phone. I carried a bunch of wild fruits that I didn't know, and dangled them in front of his eyes, and asked him what kind of fruit he was, and if I could eat them? He sat up in horror and asked me nervously, "Have you tasted it?" "It's poisonous! It's highly poisonous!!You, you, throw it away, throw it away, don't touch it, don't enter it, wash your hands quickly, disinfect it." He said. Immediately afterward, he told me: "Last time, I licked it with my tongue, and my tongue quickly swollen and almost suffocated to death...... I hurried away, but luckily he told me. He said that there were many poisonous plants and poisonous fruits on that mountain. In his yard, a large truck was parked. When I asked him what he was doing, he said that he was pulling timber from the mountains on the border between China and Myanmar, and that there were logging trees, so I asked him to pull them, and he pointed to the top of the mountain in the distance and said, "Look, it's half an hour's drive from the green forest under the snow-capped mountains." Hearing him say this, I really want to go to the China-Myanmar border with him one day.

(Kako Poison No)

Back in the old town of the county, with a dry mouth and an empty stomach, enter the store, and have a cup of freshly ground soy milk and a bowl of favorite leek-stuffed dumplings. Thinking back to today's events on the mountain, my heart palpitated......

Later, I heard a non-commissioned officer and brother of a pilot of a certain frontier regiment in Chayu say that bears like to sneak attack women the most. He said that the wild brown bear has a strong male hormone, and it is very sensitive to the smell of women, so it is most dangerous for women to go up the mountain. After thinking about it, I never went up that mountain again.

In the early morning of September 2, 2023, I flew from Chengdu Shuangliu Airport to Milin Airport alone. On the plane, I met a middle-aged thin and tall handsome guy from Shuangliu, Chengdu, he sat next to me, thin and tall, a handsome guy, it turned out that he worked in the Chayu County People's Congress, surnamed Shen. As soon as I heard him say that he was from Chayu, I was very happy and felt so kind. He has been working in Chayu for many years. We got off the plane at Mirin Airport together, and after leaving the station, he asked me where I was going, and I said I was going to Xiachayu. He kindly and enthusiastically told me that a car came to pick him up at the airport, and asked me if I would like to take his car to Chayu by the way, and first go to Bomi to change a car to Chayu, the car of his unit. I said that I had to go to Bayi (Nyingchi City) to do important things for my family and veterans, and by the way, I also wanted to go back to our old army and the new and old 115 hospitals to have a look, but I couldn't go to Chayu today. He said: "Okay, then I'll go first, I have to rush back overnight today, work tomorrow morning, no time to play in Bayi (original place name Bayi)." "It was 10:16 a.m., and I added his WeChat, left each other's names and phone numbers, thinking that his home was in Shuangliu, Chengdu, close to my home, and he worked in Chayu, which I loved. After a short acquaintance, I feel that others are very good, one more friend and one more way. We said goodbye to each other, and watched him get into the car that had come to pick him up, feeling sorry for him, and wasting a great opportunity to hitchhike to the corner. I got on the shuttle bus from the Civil Aviation Administration of the airport to downtown Nyingchi.

At 11:37 a.m. on February 3, 2024, I asked him, "What is the name of the mountain behind Shanggaba Village?" On weekdays, he replied to me after about 10 minutes: "I'll ask and reply to you, I haven't climbed that mountain yet, in Chayu County, I don't dare to climb the mountain, there are a lot of wild animals." "He has worked in Chayu for decades and has never dared to climb the mountain because he and the locals know that there is a lot of wildlife in the mountain. I'm a woman from other places, but I didn't realize that climbing that mountain was so dangerous. Ask yourself, will I dare to climb those mountains next time? Now I think about it, I am a little afraid, whether I will dare to climb that mountain in the future, especially alone, I really have no bottom in my heart, I can't be sure.

At 9:45 a.m. on February 18, 2024, Shen Shuaige of the Chayu County People's Congress, he privately sent a WeChat message: I asked a friend, saying that the mountain on the left is called Mengla, the mountain on the right is called Na Twist, and the ditch in the middle is called Balagou.

Thinking about it carefully, it turns out that I went up and down the mountain along the Bala ditch, which can be used as a directional sign for going up and down the mountain. As for where the source of Bala Ditch is, there is no way to know, and we will find an opportunity to investigate and explore it next time.

I heard a head of the Chayu border guard say that they also went to climb that mountain, maybe he went with his comrades-in-arms, went sightseeing to find Chinese medicinal materials, or went on patrol or other tasks, I don't know.

The wonderful and mysterious Chayu Mengla Mountain, Na Twist Mountain, I hope there will be a period in the future.
