Recently, the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League and the Jiangsu Volunteer Association announced the results of the 2023 Provincial Youth Volunteer Action Advanced Model Selection, among which the Wujin Fire "Smurfs" Lei Feng Volunteer Service Station was awarded the "Jiangsu Youth Volunteer Service Action Organization Award".
The volunteer service station adheres to the construction concept of position sharing, communication and interaction, training and promotion, publicity and promotion, and has created a convenient service window and a distinctive activity room with firefighters stationed 24H, explaining fire protection knowledge to residents for free and providing various convenient services, with a total of about 100,000 hours of service and 80,000 beneficiaries.
Wujin Fire "Smurfs" Lei Feng Volunteer Service Station was officially established in 2019, with 6 volunteer service teams, including the Smurfs "Volunteer Service Team", Changzhou Road King McDonald's McWheat Alliance, Changzhou Xinao Gas Blue Flame Red Front, and Changzhou Modern Express Little Reporter Studio, with a total of about 625 volunteers. By building carriers, locking targets, and unblocking channels, we will innovate ways and means to serve the people, actively explore the cooperation model of "fire + mobile + gas", and carry out the publicity activities of "safe entry into 10,000 homes" in the whole region, so that fire protection services can truly extend to the end of the grassroots level.
In recent years, the Wujin Fire "Smurfs" learned from Lei Feng Volunteer Service Station to skillfully carry the body, lock the target, and smooth the channel, through the "base + team station", "compulsory training + optional training", "virtual + reality", "family + school", "honor + incentive" five-in-one activity form, the fire safety education into the "colorful Wujin" work, to create a unique "Smurfs" fire guard publicity and education volunteer service brand, to carry out the "four ones" action of "one position, one course, one set of books, one game".
One position: Cooperate with McDonald's to build the country's first McDonald's officially certified "Smurfs" theme restaurant, cooperate with Road King Another City Jinyiying to build a "Smurfs" fire-themed theater, and jointly build a Wujin safety education and training base with the District Emergency Bureau and Economic Development Group, opening a new window for fire safety publicity.
Course 1: Seven consecutive "Smurfs" fire summer camps have been held, allowing children to feel the life of firefighting, understand the knowledge of firefighting, and better protect themselves and help others through the "zero-distance" experience and "immersive" experience.
A set of books: The Education Bureau of the United District and other departments have compiled the "Fire Safety Education Reader", set up different fire safety course content for different age groups, distributed nearly 300,000 copies for free, and was selected as one of the "100 Excellent Popular Science Works in China in 2023" by the Ministry of Science and Technology.
A competition: The Education Bureau, the Emergency Bureau, and the Youth League District Committee of the United District have held four consecutive sessions of the "Smurfs" Fire Guard Speech Contest, attracting more than 8,000 contestants from 55 primary and secondary schools in the district to participate in the competition, showing the fire safety learning achievements of teenagers in an all-round way, and effectively promoting the construction of a "safe campus".
In 2022, the "Smurfs" Fire Safety Project was jointly awarded the "Changzhou Excellent Volunteer Service Project" by the Municipal Civilization Office, the Civil Affairs Bureau, and the Youth League Municipal Committee, and won the first prize in the 2022 Wujin District Volunteer Service Project Selection and Brand Display Activity.
