In order to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, carry forward the spirit of patriotism, inherit the excellent traditional Chinese culture, and continue to promote the construction of scholarly Shaanxi, on the occasion of the 4.23 World Book Day in 2024, the "Scholarly Yangling Revisits the Classics" Yangling National Reading Walking Activity entered the Sunshine Community of Litai Street Office in Yangling District.
The event was sponsored by the Propaganda Department of the Party Working Committee of Yangling Demonstration Zone and the Working Committee of Yangling Demonstration Zone of the Communist Youth League, undertaken by Huashang Daily, Ersanli Information, and Litai Sub-district Office of Yangling District, and co-organized by Yangling Agricultural Science Media Group and Sunshine Community.
At the event site, Wang Jie, member of the organizing committee of the Litai Sub-district Office of Yangling District, delivered a speech on behalf of the organizer. Li Hui, reading promoter, vice chairman of the Yangling Demonstration Zone Writers Association, and director of broadcasting of Yangling Agricultural Science Media Group, recited Gorky's poem "Haiyan"; Li Junhui, reading promoter, secretary general of the Yangling Demonstration Zone Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and general manager of Agricultural Science and Technology News Shaanxi Brand Promotion Co., Ltd., recited excerpts from Yuan Hongdao's travelogue essay "Manjing Travels" in the Ming Dynasty, and presented more than 50 pure literary periodicals such as "People's Literature", "Yanhe" and "Selected Prose" to the Sunshine Community Library.
The representative of the organizer of the event, the head of the reporter station of Huashang Daily in Yangling, presented the flag to Wan Chuanhui, secretary of the Sunshine Community. The delegates and nearly 100 people at the scene appreciated the classic recitation of "Thousand Character Text", "Reading China", "China with a Capital Letter", "My Motherland" and other works. The dance "The Direction of the Party Flag Flying", the chorus "Carved Saddle" and "Daylily Flower" performed by the Sunshine Community pushed the whole event to a climax.
There is poetry and books in the belly, and the most important thing is that the fragrance of books can go far. Reading for all is inseparable from the attention and participation of the whole society.
