A few days ago, iCAR officially released a new SUV model, iCAR V23, which is the first model jointly created by Chery and Zhimi Technology, positioning a pure electric small SUV, and the official said that its cruising range can reach 500 kilometers. In addition, the iCAR car has officially replaced the brand logo based on English letters.
The iCAR V23 is also the first model of the new V series of the iCAR brand, mainly focusing on off-road style models (the 0 series represented by the iCAR 03 will focus on exquisite technological style). Combined with the previous official news, iCAR V23 will meet the public at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show, and said that "90,009 is really impossible, and the average price of four-wheel drive high configuration + 500 battery life is currently above 160,000 in the industry".
Features of the new car
The exterior of the iCAR V23 continues the "square box" shape common to hardcore SUVs, with a four-wheel and four-corner design layout, and modern details, including thick bumpers, round light design, raised front hatch, concealed door handles, side steps, and widened wheel arches. In addition, the car will feature a new brand identity and be equipped with millimeter-wave radar.
In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the iCAR V23 are 4220/1915/1845 mm, and the wheelbase is 2730 mm, and the overall size is similar to that of the iCAR 03 (length, width and height 4406/1910/1715 mm, wheelbase 2715 mm), which is larger than the Baojun Yue PLUS (length, width and height 3996/1760/1726 mm, wheelbase 2560 mm). In addition, the iCAR V23 has an approach angle of 42/43 degrees, a departure angle of 40/41 degrees, a minimum ground clearance of 206/212 mm (front 2WD version, rear 4WD version), and is available with 19-inch and 21-inch rims, respectively.
The styling style of the rear of the iCAR V23 echoes the front face, and the tailgate will be opened sideways, and the external storage compartment and the interior are connected, which can be seen as additional storage space, but unfortunately cannot be opened from the outside. It is worth mentioning that the car is equipped with a total of 4 millimeter-wave radars, which can realize L2+ intelligent driving assistance functions.
Inside, the iCAR V23 continues to make extensive use of rounded rectangular design elements, with a large floating center console on the center console, physical buttons underneath, and embossed decorations on the knobs. According to the official introduction, the car will be equipped with 8155 chips.
In terms of power, the iCAR V23 is based on a new platform architecture, providing single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor four-wheel drive models, with the rear-wheel drive version of the model having a cruising range of more than 400 kilometers and the four-wheel drive version of the model having a cruising range of more than 500 kilometers.
