In 2024, the demand for fertilizers will be about 50.46 million tons
At the meeting, Tian Youguo, director of the National Agricultural Technology Extension Service Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, made a forecast for the fertilizer demand situation in 2024 based on a comprehensive analysis of the preliminary planting intentions, yield targets, and scientific fertilization technology opinions. He said that the preliminary test shows that the national demand for agricultural fertilizers in 2024 will be about 50.46 million tons (converted into pure, the same below). In terms of varieties, it is estimated that 25.65 million tons of nitrogen fertilizer, 11.74 million tons of phosphate fertilizer, and 13.07 million tons of potash fertilizer will be needed; in terms of agricultural time, it is estimated that 21.75 million tons of fertilizer will be used during spring ploughing, 14.92 million tons of summer fertilizer, and 13.79 million tons of autumn and winter planting.

From a regional point of view, Tian Youguo said that during the spring ploughing period, the demand for agricultural fertilizers in eight provinces (regions) including Inner Mongolia, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Henan, Hubei, Guangxi, Sichuan and Xinjiang was more than 1 million tons.

Ensuring the supply of fertilizer demonstrates the responsibility of the enterprise

According to relevant studies, the amount of fertilizer is related to the yield of a variety of crops, and the combined application of chemical fertilizer and organic fertilizer also has a great effect on the yield.
A stable supply of fertilizers is a solid foundation for food security. According to Wang Xiangwen, in 2023, Salt Lake Co., Ltd. will produce 4.9411 million tons of potash fertilizer and complete the sales of potash fertilizer (potassium chloride) products of 5.6 million tons, accounting for more than 35% of the domestic market share, and the price will always be lower than the market, and continue to play a "stabilizer" role.
