Research on the theme of calligraphy and painting in the collection of American museums
In addition to the rich collections of Chinese paintings and calligraphy in domestic museums, there are also a large number of works in overseas museums and markets, including many "national treasures". For example, the famous Song Dynasty Huizong's "Imitation of Zhang Xuan's Pounding Practice", "Northern Qi School Book", "Ancient Emperor", Dong Yuan's "Creek Bank", Huang Tingjian's cursive "Lian Po Lin Xiangru Biography" and other world-famous works are collected in museums in the United States.
In addition, there are also high prices for Chinese paintings and calligraphy auctions in the domestic and overseas markets. It can be said that overseas collecting is an indispensable part of our learning of Chinese painting and calligraphy, and the trading of overseas artworks and the return of Chinese cultural relics are important parts of our understanding of the art market.
