On April 9, in Matou Town, Tancheng County, Linyi City, the construction workers of China Railway Shanghai Bureau worked on the construction site of the Weisu high-speed railway.
Recently, the construction of the Weisu (Weifang City, Shandong Province - Suqian City, Jiangsu Province) high-speed railway across Sulu Province has begun. With a total length of about 399 kilometers and a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour, the Weisu high-speed railway has a total of 12 stations, including Weifang North Station, Linyi North Station, Tancheng West Station, and Suqian Yanghe North Station, which is expected to be completed by the end of June 2028.
After the completion of the Weisu high-speed railway, with the help of the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway auxiliary channel and the surrounding road network, Linyi City will form a high-speed rail "135" traffic circle, that is, 1 hour to Jinan City, Jiaodong, Lunan three major economic circle of Shandong Province, 3 hours to Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, the Yangtze River Delta central city, 5 hours to the Pearl River Delta, the Yangtze River Economic Belt, the Silk Road Economic Belt and other major economic regions in the country.
