The Central Yunnan Water Diversion Project is the largest and most invested water resources allocation project in the southwest of the mainland, which is of great significance for optimizing the allocation of water resources in central Yunnan and promoting the development of central cities in southern Yunnan. As an important part of the construction section of the Red River in the second phase of the Central Yunnan Water Diversion Project, the Kaiyuan section of the second phase of the supporting project will start construction in October 2022, with a total length of 57.169 kilometers of water transmission project lines, 13 buildings of various types, 10 pipelines and 2 tunnels. In January this year, with the full breakthrough of the Luyintang tunnel in the Kaiyuan section, a breakthrough was made in the construction section of the Red River in the second phase of the Central Yunnan Water Diversion Project.
