Recently, Qibao Town, Minhang District, has launched the 2024 flood control water accumulation point renovation project in response to the problem of water accumulation on Xingzhong Road to improve drainage efficiency and ensure the safety of residents.
The total length of the water accumulation point project on Xingzhong Road (Caobao Road-Xingbei Road) is about 450 meters, and the water accumulation on the road is due to the aging and damage of the municipal rainwater pipe network, resulting in poor rainwater drainage, which seriously affects the travel safety of residents.
The project officially started on May 10 and is expected to take 45 days to be completed by the end of July. The construction to take the implementation of the sectional construction plan, at present Xingzhong Road (Xingbei Road - Sunshine Qianchengyuan East Gate) half of the road has been closed with a fence, the temporary traffic organization plan for the original two-way three-lane temporarily changed to two-way two-lane, during the construction of the whole section of the vehicle is prohibited from turning around (need to turn around the vehicle needs to drive to Xingdong Road), non-motor vehicles to get off the car to implement the merger with the sidewalk. The construction section of the latter section is Xingzhong Road (East Gate of Sunshine Qianchengyuan - Caobao Road), and the traffic organization plan remains unchanged.
During the construction period, the construction unit will strictly follow the safety and civilization system for construction, do a good job in the investigation of hidden dangers, and implement the policy of "safety first, prevention first". At the same time, effective measures will be taken to control the impact of on-site dust, exhaust gas, noise, garbage and other impacts on the environment, and strictly control the export of muck.
Through this renovation, it is expected to effectively alleviate the problem of water accumulation on Xingzhong Road, and fully prepare for the upcoming flood season with a more complete urban drainage system. The smooth implementation of the project is not only a practical project, but also a "people's heart" project, providing residents with a safer and more convenient travel environment.
