This year, Dongyi broke with the tradition of releasing a year-round performance season and launched a new program for the first time with the concept of "autumn and winter performance season". With "Chunhua Qiushi" as the theme of the annual performance season, it took the lead in planning autumn and winter programs around "Qiushi" in the six months from September to February next year. Lei Wen, general manager of Dongyi, said that under the normalization of epidemic prevention and control, in the face of many uncertainties in future theater performances, the theater will re-examine and discover the ecological environment and more possibilities of performing arts, strive to turn the "stage" into a "platform", and actively launch cross-border performance forms to get close to new audience groups.
After the "Three Tenors of China" concert, the large-scale acrobatic drama "Battle shanghai", the drama "Communist Manifesto", the dance drama "Awakening the Lion" and other red-themed plays will span the entire performance season.
As the core brand of Dongyi, "Listen to Symphony, Go to the East" section, Dutch conductor Fan Zhideng will lead the Hong Kong Orchestra and violin ghost Huang Mengla to present the finale for the new season; conductor Yang Yang will present the "Heavenly Night" in music with 12-year-old Du Peida and Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra; elderly conductor Cao Peng will lead the Shanghai City Symphony Orchestra to once again bring opera feast to Shanghai audiences.
