2021 marks the 80th anniversary of the founding of the National Theatre of China and the 20th anniversary of its official establishment. On December 25, the National Theatre of China held a symposium in Beijing. Tian Qinxin, president of the National Drama Theatre, announced on the spot that six artists, Zhang Qihong, You Benchang, Lei Kesheng, Xue Dianjie, Tang Guoqiang, and Li Xuejian, had won the title of "Lifetime Glory Artist" of the National Drama Theatre of China; Ma Yingchun, Chen Qiang, Jian Jianzhe, Han Tongsheng, Wang Xiaoying, Yang Qing, Liu Wei, Liu Peiqi, Ni Dahong, and Xu Wenguang had won the title of "Glory Artist" of the National Theatre of China. At the same time, in order to thank the artists outside the theater for their support of the artistic production and creation of the National Drama Theatre of China over the years, the National Drama Theatre awarded Xi Meijuan, Hu Ge and Huang Lei the title of "Honorary Actors". Tian Qinxin also revealed that the theater has introduced 25 high-end talents such as actors Wan Qian, Zhang Tong, Guan Xiaotong, etc., and stage designers Wang Chen and Hu Tianji, which have injected fresh blood into the development of the theater's cause.
