Hunan Satellite TV's late-night reading program "Moonlight Study" was recently launched, and it is new every night. The "readers under the moon" who love to read bring warm and healing, enlightening and lyrical video books in the form of face-to-face narration.
Selected essays are at the heart of the book program. The articles selected for "Moonlight Study" are not only works by Lu Xun, Yu Guangzhong, Mo Yan, Jia Pingwa, Yu Hua, etc., but also "Submarine at Night" created by Chen Chuncheng, a new writer after the 90s. Among them, the writing of the father not only presents Zhu Ziqing's famous article "Back Shadow", but also chooses to read Zhang Dachun's "Listen to the Father".
The chapter "I Thought I Was Going to Sacrifice" in Yang Liwei's work "Nine Weights of Heaven and Earth" was also selected, which frankly and sincerely tells the most thrilling moment in China's first manned space flight. Liu Xinwu's work "Watching the Sea in Winter" tells the story of a teacher in a small northwest town who, in order to realize the desire to see the sea for the students, chose the winter with low travel expenses and came to the beach to sing and dance with the sea. The spirit conveyed by these works is moving.
There was a lot of preparation before recording, and the production team developed a very rigorous invitation process. First, learn about the guests to be invited through the "Reading Habits Questionnaire", and then determine the exclusive theme of each person through repeated discussion. Ma Tianyu, Cai Chengyu, Niu Junfeng, Yuan Ruohang, Chen Shengheng and other 5 young "monthly readers" came to the study with their own sharing themes and traveled with young friends to find the Book of the Heart.
Deep reading makes an organic connection between the "monthly reader" and the articles read. For example, Cai Chengyu brought the theme of "listening" and shared 7 beautiful articles about music and sound, the first of which was Yu Hua's work on classical music appreciation, "Music Influenced My Writing". Ma Tianyu loves to travel, and the theme of "departure" he shares brings with him the classic story "Nine Colored Deer" collected in Dunhuang.
Young actor Yuan Ruohang shared the theme of "we, only this body of youth", read a treasure article "Looking for Inspiration" published by Mo Yan in the "Literature and Art Newspaper", talking about how he drew strength from a teenager who did not dare to go out at night, drew strength from literature, and finally grew into a well-known writer.
"Moonlight Study" shows not only a way of reading, but also a reading attitude - reading in all possible time, even the precious time before good night. Since the program was broadcast, it has won the first place in the average rating of the four networks at the provincial level, leading the second 50%. From the perspective of audience age, the post-90s audience accounted for the highest proportion, and from the perspective of education level, the proportion of people above the university was higher.
