They do not have freeze protection in winter. The three photos in the middle are magnolia flowers in Wanliu Park, which I took on April 7. The last three were taken by me this afternoon. They are protected from frost in winter and spring (before Ching Ming Festival) and are tightly covered with thick plastic sheets (see Figure 10).

That is to say, when the magnolia flowers in the People's Park are in full bloom, the magnolia flowers of Wanliu have a small bone. It is said that the magnolia trees in Wanliu have anti-freeze protection in winter, why can't they dry the magnolia flowers in People's Park without anti-freeze protection?

The problem lies in this protection. From the beginning of winter last year to the Qingming Festival of the following year, that is, the magnolia trees of Wanliu spend half a year without sunlight and fresh air (see Figure 10). Is overprotection the same as spoiling?

Magnolia trees are also plants, plants need sunlight and fresh air, covering it for so long is definitely not good for its growth, even if it is raw bean sprouts, there is a limit to the time it can be covered. The starting point of this is good, but the objective effect is really not good, when they survive, there is no need to be so overprotective, otherwise the longer they grow, the more they will not look, there is a large magnolia tree The upper part has been sawn off dead, and the lower part is enough to choke! (see Figure 9)

If you go to Wanliu Park, if you are interested, then look at the few trees in front of the toilet in the southwest corner that seem to be dragon's claw elms, which have been covered very tightly in winter and spring for several years, but the more they are protected, the more they will grow!

This approach really should be changed. I am not troubled, but I hope that the beautification work of Xuanhua can get better and better.
