Wang Fangtai first came to the site of the retreat and remediation of the Xidahe Secondary Hydropower Station to learn about the transfer of the Northwest Supervision Bureau of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, carefully inspect the vegetation restoration, daily management and protection, and study the rectification work on the spot. He stressed that it is necessary to resolutely shoulder the mission and responsibility of managing, making good use of, and protecting limited water resources, take multiple measures to strengthen the management of water shorelines and the protection of drinking water sources, increase regular inspections, pay close attention to changes in water conditions, strengthen water quality monitoring and water scheduling, and comprehensively improve the level of water resources management and intensive conservation and utilization. Hydropower enterprises should adhere to ecological priority and green development, produce and operate in accordance with laws and regulations, refine the investigation of potential safety hazards, improve emergency prevention measures, and resolutely avoid the occurrence of environmental pollution incidents. Yongchang County and the water affairs department should speed up the construction of key water conservancy projects such as rural drinking water safety, carry out in-depth special rectification of the "two violations" in rivers and lakes, and the special action of "cleaning up the four chaos", further refine the emergency preparedness for drought fighting, supply and disaster reduction, effectively prevent and resolve major risks of flood and drought disasters, and make every effort to ensure the safety of drinking water, which is the most concerning, direct and realistic livelihood event of the masses.
