In order to cherish the memory of the revolutionary martyrs and promote the spirit of patriotism, recently, the Nanlang Street Veterans Service Center actively organized volunteers to carry out the activity of "paying tribute to the martyrs and cleaning the cemetery", expressing the admiration for the heroes with practical actions and creating a clean and solemn environment for the martyrs' cemetery.
On the afternoon of April 2, the staff of the Veterans Service Center and the Red Flag Volunteer Team carried out a cleaning activity at the tomb of the martyr Liu Entai. Before the start of the event, the relevant person in charge of the Veterans Service Center emphasized the importance of remembering the martyrs and remembering history, and called on everyone to inherit the red gene with practical actions and protect the spiritual highland of the martyrs' cemetery.
In front of the martyrs' tombs, volunteers held brooms, rags and other cleaning tools to carefully and meticulously clean the tombstones, wipe the inscriptions, and remove weeds and garbage. They did not let go of every corner, did not leave a single stain, and used their own hands to create a clean and solemn resting place for the martyrs.
After several hours of hard work, the martyrs' cemetery has a new look, the handwriting on the tombstones is clearly visible, and the environment in the cemetery is clean and orderly. The volunteers said that this event made them feel more deeply the heroic and selfless dedication of the martyrs, and also strengthened their determination to inherit and carry forward the revolutionary tradition.
This activity is not only a kind of remembrance and admiration for the martyrs, but also a vivid practice of patriotic education for the masses.
