Red story painted
The 75th Anniversary of the People's Republic of China: National Unity
On August 29, 1958, the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Committee of the Communist Party of China decided to set off an upsurge in the establishment of people's communes in Xinjiang's agricultural and pastoral areas. On 15 September, the regional party committee issued an "Urgent Circular on the Establishment of People's Communes," proposing to complete the task of establishing people's communes in the rural areas of the region within 1958 and to realize the communization of the rural areas of Xinjiang.
The comic strip "Red Flower of the Tianshan Mountains" is set against the background of the construction of Dongfeng Commune at the foot of the Tianshan Mountains in Xinjiang, and tells the story of Oyiguli, a Kazakh female Communist Party member in the Kazakh animal husbandry production team, who seeks a bumper harvest for the commune in her family and brigade, leads the masses to expose the enemy's conspiracy, and marches towards socialism.
