Red Story Painting - Defending the Home and Defending the Country|Comic Book "Surprise Attack on the Bandit's Nest"

In the early days of the liberation of Guangdong, there were more than 450 armed bandits in the province, totaling more than 30,000 people. They colluded with the remnants of the Kuomintang to attack the county, district, and township governments, kill the members of the rural work team, and loot weapons and food. Ye Jianying, then mayor of Guangzhou, and other leaders of the South China Branch and the 15th Corps quickly determined the top priority after entering the city -- to eliminate bandits and consolidate law and order. After more than a year of encirclement and suppression, a large number of bandits in the province were basically annihilated.

The comic strip "Surprise Attack on the Bandits' Nest" depicts the story of the spring of 1950, in order to completely annihilate the bandits and eliminate harm for the people, the militia of Shangdai Village used "merchant ships" as bait to lure the bandits to the open sea, and then quickly landed on the island, attacked the bandits' nest, and captured all the bandits.
