And such a crowd is exactly what MBAs need. After all, the goal of MBA is to cultivate future professional managers, business managers, industry or a certain field of elites, business leaders, and pay more attention to the assessment of practical ability.
However, if you follow the regular process of taking the written test first and then re-examining, these high-quality students are likely to be eliminated in the written test stage, and there is no way to enter the re-examination to show their comprehensive ability in an all-round way.
Therefore, since the enrollment of domestic MBA began in 1991, the loss of high-quality students has been plaguing major MBA colleges.
It wasn't until around 2009 that some colleges and universities began to try to put the re-examination before the initial examination, and the re-examination was conducted first, so as to understand your personal situation, including professional background, leadership, management ability, etc.
If you feel that you meet the training goals of the institution through the interview communication, then your preliminary written test score will be appropriately reduced, and this early interview is equivalent to a re-examination, and most schools do not need to take the re-examination after the preliminary examination results come out.

Taking last year's interview policy as an example, Tsinghua University, Peking University, Beijing Normal University, Xiamen University, and Tongji University all required all MBA applicants to attend an early interview.
