IT Home reported on March 28 that the Samsung Galaxy M55 5G has been released in Brazil, and the new machine is equipped with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, a 5000mAh battery, and a 50-megapixel front camera.

The Samsung Galaxy M55 5G is only available in Brazil with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage version, priced at BRL 2699 (IT House note: about RMB 3907), and the color scheme is available in light green and dark blue, Samsung is expected to bring the Galaxy M55 5G to more markets later this year.

The Galaxy M55 5G is the successor to the Galaxy M54 5G, and both use the same design language, with curved bezels and a cut-out screen. The upgrade is the front camera, which has been upgraded from 32 million pixels to 50 million pixels on the Galaxy M54 5G. However, the main camera has been downgraded from 108 million pixels to 50 million pixels, with OIS stabilization, complemented by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro lens.

In terms of core configuration, the Galaxy M55 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, which replaces the previous generation Samsung's own Exynos 1380 processor. It is worth mentioning that the battery capacity of the new device has also been reduced from 6000mAh to 5000mAh, and it supports 25W fast charging.

The Galaxy M55 5G features a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED Plus display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and 1000 nits of peak brightness.

In terms of system, the device comes pre-installed with the One UI 6.1 operating system based on Android 14. Elsewhere, the Galaxy M55 5G also boasts dual speakers, NFC capabilities, Wi-Fi 6, a USB Type-C port, and an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, as well as an under-display fingerprint.
