In order to further improve minors' awareness of the rule of law and promote the construction of safe campuses, on March 25, on the 29th "National Safety Education Day for Primary and Secondary School Students", Fang Lei, director of the Political Department of the People's Court of Changjiang Li Autonomous County, walked into the Changjiang Kapok Experimental School of Capital Normal University as the vice principal of the rule of law to carry out a rule of law safety education class.
During the activity, Fang Lei took the recent murder of junior high school students in Handan, Hebei Province as the starting point, focusing on "whether minors can evade legal prosecution", "what are the crimes involved in campus bullying", "when you are bullied, is it justified to defend yourself", "what costs may you bear to watch bullying", "what legal consequences will campus bullying bear", and explain to students from the three legal dimensions of "Law on the Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency", "Public Security Administration Punishment Law" and "Criminal Law" to explain to students that campus bullying may involve administrative punishment. The serious consequences of criminal offenses emphasize the stipulation, determination and separate handling of the age of criminal responsibility, and warn students that minors are not lawless criminals, but are not only protected by the law, but also regulated and constrained by the law, and actively guide students to regulate their own behavior, learn to correctly handle campus bullying, do not be victims, bullies, and adherents of campus bullying, or cold bystanders, and learn to use legal weapons to protect their legitimate rights and interests when they are subjected to illegal infringements.
This rule of law lecture activity allowed the students to further improve their legal awareness and concept of the rule of law, and deepen their understanding of campus bullying. The Changjiang People's Court will continue to strengthen communication and cooperation with schools, integrate rule of law safety education into campus safety governance, help promote the construction of safe campuses, escort the healthy growth of minors with the light of the rule of law, and demonstrate the court's responsibility with active performance of duties.
