On February 16, 2024, Beijing time, the 1/8 finals of the World Snooker Welsh Open came to an end. Chinese players Fan Zhengyi and Fu Jiajun were both out, and the Chinese snooker army was wiped out.

Four of the top 16 players qualified for the quarter-finals

In the fourth round of the Welsh Open, world No. 3 Mark Allen scored 110 and 50 points in a single stroke to win four games in a row and swept Robbie Williams 4-0 to complete the promotion.

Gary Wilson, ranked 16th in the world, only scored 53 points in a single stroke, but he still won four games in a row to sweep the veteran Milkins 4-0 and successfully advance to the quarterfinals.

McGill scored 78 points, 59 points and won two games in a row with a single shot to defeat Wharton, a four-time champion in the ranking tournament, 4-3.

The new world champion reversed Tom Ford 4-1 with a 4-1 reversal of Tom Ford with a single stroke of 62, 63 and 65 points in a single stroke with a disadvantageous start of 0-1.

Higgins fell behind 1-3 with a single stroke of 65 and 62 points to win three games in a row and beat Selt 4-3. Dale scored 89 points in a single shot and won four consecutive games to sweep Jack Jones 4-0.

Welsh Open quarter-final matchups
