I saw reconciliation. This "Mr. Red Carpet" is like two long-time old friends who start teasing and teasing each other after drinking at the wine table, and then smile with relief. They shift the object of criticism and satire from the external world to the self and the inner self – holding on to their beliefs, but also making compromises, which is the most resonant and desirable state for middle-aged audiences.
The relationship between Lin Hao and Liu Weichi in the film and Ning Hao and Andy Lau in reality is similar to the "I" in Lu Xun's novel, which seems to be true but not true. The appropriate "self-exposure" gives this work a more vivid charm.
Dedication, prudence, and self-discipline are all considered to be Andy Lau's long-lasting magic weapons. However, in the film, Andy Lau generously "faded" the star halo. He is nervous about the camera every day, and in order to maintain his figure, he has to do a plank under the reminder of his mobile phone at any time, and even the hidden marriage and the fall of a horse during filming also have realistic projections. In addition, as a superstar, he still can't let go of fame and fortune, and he is losing in the face of cyberbullying, and failing in children's education and family management is like tearing a hole in a hidden corner of his heart.
And Ning Hao's changes may also be related to the changes in his life role in reality. Complex multi-line narratives, mockery of reality, and digging deep into the dark side of human nature have been his most distinctive personal labels. But now, his Ning Hao Film Studio has been upgraded to Bad Monkey Pictures, in addition to the pursuit of artistic ideals, he must care more about real investment, in order to ensure that a large number of contracted directors work well.
Because of this, Lin Hao in the film can only helplessly cater to and obey investors. But the arrogant investors had to insert their own scenes in the movie, which eventually evolved into a "big chaos" made by fake scenes. It is indeed very enjoyable to beat up the investor, but it may only stay in the movie of "Lin Hao" and Ning Hao's heart.
Lin Hao and Liu Weichi both need to find an exit in their lives, but just as in the ending plot, several viewers walked out of the movie theater angrily but were forcibly stopped by the security guards, where is the exit? There seems to be a sense of powerlessness that can't be seen.
The film repeatedly mentions "communication", but the key plot and dramatic conflicts are driven by precisely misunderstandings caused by ineffective communication. In terms of technology, today, when information transmission is unprecedentedly convenient, an unprecedented "information cocoon" has been formed, and mutual understanding has become the most difficult thing. This contrast and absurdity is the core of black humor. Ning Hao did not satirize and criticize reality from the perspective of God, but regarded himself as a part of reality. When Liu Weichi reflects on his hypocrisy, dismantles the public welfare poster of "fake smile", clumsily steps on the balance bike, and explores and adapts a little bit, it may be the beginning of letting go of obsession and reconciling with his past self.
Liu Weichi and Lin Hao became one at this time, and their insistence on art and embrace of the new world required inner self-consistency.
After watching the whole film, and then thinking back to the so-called "revelations" and "doxxing entertainment circles" that satisfied people's gossip desires during the announcement, I am afraid that it is the most unworthy scraps of this film.
