Erdogan and Putin already have a fairly good personal relationship, plus when the coup d'état in Turkey in 2016, Putin also informed Erdogan in advance after learning the news, and because of this, even after the military confrontation between Russia and Ukraine, Turkey's attitude towards Russia has always been relatively special.
But in any case, there are only interests between countries, so after the United States is willing to negotiate with Turkey, Erdogan has also wavered in order to seek more benefits for himself.
To give a simple example, during Zelensky's previous visit to Turkey, Erdogan allowed him to take away the officers of the Azov Battalion of Ukrainian prisoners of war, which was undoubtedly a direct "backstab" to Putin.

Second, not long ago, Erdogan relented on Sweden's "accession to the treaty." Although Erdogan nodded in agreement with Sweden's accession to NATO for the F-16 fighter jet, for Putin, he also needs to know more about Turkey's foreign policy direction.
Moreover, Putin and Erdogan still have many issues to discuss, such as the grain problem in Ukraine, the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, and the situation in Syria.

Especially on the Ukrainian grain issue, Russia and Ukraine signed the "Black Sea Grain Agreement" under the mediation of Turkey, which has always been regarded by Erdogan as a manifestation of Turkey's international influence, but the West has refused to facilitate the export of Russian grain and fertilizers, so Russia has refused to continue to implement the agreement, and the Turkish side may hope that Putin can relax on this matter after this visit.
As for the Palestinian-Israeli issue, there is probably no difference between the demands of Russia and Turkey, but after all, Israel has the backing of the United States behind it, and it is obviously unrealistic to want the fighting in Gaza to stop quickly at the moment. Not to mention the situation in Syria, where all parties are simply seeking maximum geopolitical benefits.
In addition, there is a more important energy issue, and the demands of Russia and Turkey are very different, the former wants to build more pipelines in the Black Sea, and the latter wants to borrow Russian oil and gas to make a lot of money for Europe.

Because Turkey has always repeatedly jumped sideways between the United States and Russia, the United States has always turned a blind eye to the exchanges between Russia and Turkey, but even so, whether Putin and Erdogan's upcoming meeting can reach a consensus on some issues depends on the follow-up discussions between the two sides.
