The best birthday gift
As the start of school approaches, I also realize that the improvement of my academic level is the best gift and confidence for myself, and I also know that I have a long way to go to achieve my math goals, so I took out the problems that I didn't dare to do and couldn't do in the previous semester and re-examined them a few times this week.

After repeating this several times, I found the loopholes in the knowledge points in time and took the initiative to reorganize the key concepts (since it was already evening when I was sorting out my notes, the study room in the teaching building was about to close).
When I stepped on the bell of the study room closing door in the past two days and walked out with me smoothly and calmly to explain my solution ideas, a kind of relaxation and confidence of "the light boat has crossed the mountain" brought me a lot of unique sense of accomplishment - I hope I can also open the way for the new year with this effort!

At the beginning of the new year, the teachers at the IPC at York University invited me to attend a public lunch as a student representative and to introduce myself.
I and other outstanding representatives enthusiastically talked about their majors in front of the new students who entered the winter semester, and chatted with the new students during meals, looking for confidants of the same frequency in the collision of ideas in the orientation.
I met a young lady from Hong Kong during the meal, and we learned that everyone had to study statistics and was a little scared of it.
At this time, I joined another representative from China to comfort her: "Don't worry! Don't be afraid, the teachers are very responsible, we are all here...... I can also take the initiative to persuade others with such warm words, which is also a growth that I didn't expect: in the past, it was the teachers who led me to become better, and now I will help each other and achieve together with my classmates!
Open Mic and Party - 为爱发电
At four o'clock in the afternoon, my mentor invited me to a party with the freshmen.
The first part is a game session, where the teachers set up a series of board games and pitching games (six triangular cups with drinks in front of the two players, and the person who hits them first with a table tennis ball wins).
I played the game with a very active young lady from Russia, and at first I was able to have some advantages, but then I noticed that she threw the ball quickly and accurately, and she won the game - I learned that she is a professional tennis player, and it seems that she has made a great new friend!
After the game session, we entered the singing and talent show session.
At the moment when the introduction and presentation were completed, I really had a new understanding of the phrase "chasing stars is to motivate yourself to get better again and again", and at the same time, I also received applause and cheers from everyone! (The performance order is the theme song of "Pirates of the Caribbean", "Liang Zhu", "Doremi", "Carmen")
I also sang a dynamic English song "Counting Stars" with my friends, which pushed the whole atmosphere to a climax - there is a lyric in this song "Everything that kills me makes me feel alive.", and I will continue to learn this lyric and today's scene to motivate myself to move forward.
Before the end of the event, we learned two new dance steps hand in hand under the leadership of the Russian lady, and I felt that our hearts were getting closer and closer to the rhythm of the music.
