The automotive super intelligence limit test is derived from the complex road traffic environment, mainly focusing on autonomous driving technology, intelligent cockpit technology, Internet of Vehicles technology and other fields. At this stage, the focus of the test is to test the vehicle's performance such as automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and automatic parking under severe conditions.
Li Lin, Deputy Director of the Intelligent Driving Evaluation Department of the Information Intelligence Division of China Automotive Research Institute: For example, if there is an accident vehicle parked obliquely in the tunnel, and the vehicle under test enters the tunnel at a speed of 60~70 km/h, through our test, only less than 30% of the vehicles can successfully identify and trigger the automatic emergency braking system (AEB), and the braking distance is generally about 1.5 meters.
It is understood that CAERI has also launched other super intelligence limit tests, such as squatting children in extremely narrow parking spaces. In the test, less than 30% of the vehicles were able to stop at a distance of about 0.5 meters when the height of the squatting child dummy was 52.2 cm.

At a speed of 50~60 km/h, most of the vehicles can not be recognized or successfully braked, and only less than 20% of the vehicles can be successfully identified and braked, and the braking distance is generally about 1 meter.
