Mercedes-Benz pure electric big G: BYD looks up to the U8 and I have it!

Mercedes-Benz has officially announced that more than 15 new/new generation products will be unveiled within the year, including the all-new all-electric G-Class off-road vehicle. Mercedes-Benz unveiled the EQG concept car at the 2023 Shanghai Auto Show, and the production version of the EQG will be equipped with four independent controllable motors that support in-situ turning. BYD looks up to the U8 to take the lead in opening up the million-level new energy off-road vehicle market, and Mercedes-Benz's new pure electric G-class will become its only competitor after its launch.

In the era of fuel vehicles, Mercedes-Benz G-class has been difficult to find for a long time, and it is not uncommon for terminals to increase prices wildly. Do you think the EQG will be sold at a higher price after it goes on sale?

The Mercedes-Benz EQG continues the classic square box shape of the G-Class, with a closed grille design, dot matrix light decoration inside, and round headlight clusters on both sides, and the rear is expected to be available with an external spare wheel or a small school bag, the latter being replaced by a storage box for charging cables and other items.

The interior of the EQG is basically the same as that of the G-Class, with dual screens, and the original "three locks" position has been changed to a "G-Turn" switch (tank turn mode).

The Mercedes-Benz EQG has a sturdy trapezoidal frame, four-wheel independent suspension, and a battery pack with a capacity of about 100 kW·h, giving it a maximum range of 483 km. From 2025, the EQG will be equipped with a silicon anode battery, which is expected to be able to charge from 10% to 80% in 30 minutes.
