It is understood that Fan Baoxing's pearl guava planting technology is very well-known and famous, since 2005, the teacher of the Department of Plant Protection of South China Agricultural University has taken students to the base for on-site teaching, and nearly 100 students have participated so far. In addition, from 2013 to 2019, La Salle College in Hong Kong invited a group of students to the base every year to study and experience the development of modern agriculture in the motherland.
Fan Baoxing, born in October 1971, is a native of Shawei Er Village, Wanqingsha Town, Nansha District, he is medium-sized, dark-skinned, burly and strong, giving people a solid and energetic feeling. In 1994, after graduating from secondary school, he returned to his hometown to work as a farmer, and his first job was to plant bananas on 20 acres of 10,000 acres of sand lease land, one for six years. From 1994 to 1999, it was awarded a "Three High Agricultural Standardization Agricultural Demonstration Household" in Panyu District. In 2007, Fan Baoxing returned to Wanqingsha Town to start planting pearl guava, at present, he has an area of 160 mu in Wanqingsha Town and 82 mu in Lannuo Town, which is the largest pearl guava planting professional household in Nansha District, which can harvest more than 3,000 tons of guava a year, and the products are exported to the Pearl River Delta and Fujian, Guangxi and other places.

Fan Baoxing attaches great importance to the innovation of science and technology, and since 2004, he has cooperated with South China Agricultural University to carry out research and innovation in guava cultivation. Over the years, organic fertilizer has been used for fertilization, and a unique pruning technique has been innovated to prune the density of branches according to the growth of fruit trees, thereby improving the yield and quality of guava. Therefore, fan Baoxing planted guava sweetness of 12 degrees, 2 degrees higher than other people planted, the annual yield of 25,000 to 30,000 catties, much higher than peers.
The pearl guava planted by Fan Baoxing has the characteristics of coolness, crispness and sweetness, and is one of the top ten famous and excellent agricultural products in Nansha District, and Baosheng Farm is also the only "vegetable basket" production base (fruit) in Nansha District, and the only base for registering outbound fruit orchards in Nansha District.
Fan Baoxing also attaches great importance to the investment of science and technology, purchasing a plant protection UAV for flight defense operations in early 2018, and another one the following year. "Using drone spraying can greatly reduce costs, reduce labor, and spray evenly and efficiently," he said. In 2004, he went to Pingsha Town in Zhuhai to investigate, saw tens of thousands of acres of sugarcane forests, and spent 2 years to transform the endless sugarcane forests into high-efficiency banana fields, from easy to lead local farmers to get rich, so that the annual family income from the original sugarcane planting was only 3,500 yuan to more than 30,000 yuan. In order to thank the couple, the local villagers also slaughtered pigs and feasted on them during the harvest season.
In the same year, local villagers in Zhuhai planted winter melons with short and low yields, while Fan Baoxing and his wife planted winter melons in their amateurs had tight skins and larger yields. Late one night, the sleeping couple was woken up by the urgent telephone, and Fan Baoxing was surprised in his heart whether he had done something wrong and was asked to question him. After some panic, I answered the phone, and it turned out that the staff of the Zhuhai Academy of Agricultural Sciences said, "I have learned about your winter melon planting technology from the local farmers, and I want to ask you to teach you technology and experience to the farmers and further expand the development of the winter melon planting industry."
In addition, according to Fan Baoxing, he also went to Huizhou, Jiangmen and other places to teach the planting technology of guava, bananas and other agricultural products, driving the planting of more than 200 local households and tens of thousands of acres of agriculture, so that local residents can increase production and income. In the two years of Nansha's fight against the epidemic in 2020 and 2021, Fan Baoxing supported the donation of materials worth 30,000 yuan. In the future, Fan Baoxing will continue to improve and improve the introduction of new varieties of characteristic fruits and the development and application of fruit preservation technology, organize, standardize, industrialize and intelligentize the fruit industry, and create a brand, create benefits and play its own exemplary and leading role for the fruit industry in Nansha District.
