It was only after a few years that exchanges between China and Hungary began to move towards genuine exchanges – perhaps because of solidarity with the Korean War or social pressures at the time, and the two countries gradually began to have common topics.
In the Cold War era, it was a struggle between two hegemonic powers, and the best outcome for the other small countries was to be unaffected, but unfortunately, Hungary fell victim to it.
The power of the Soviet Union was enormous, and the socialist camp that withstood its radiation would have humanitarian help from the Soviet army, and this was also the case in Hungary.
But will the help of the USSR necessarily succeed?
There was even the defeat of Bogu and others on the mainland back then, but wouldn't Hungary be like this in Europe?
The Soviet Union was indeed strong, and the development of its socialist system also had a certain reference value

Exchange and cooperation

Why can't Hungary see the value of the Belt and Road Initiative?
China was already on the road to take-off, and Hungary stepped into the Belt and Road Initiative without saying a word – and it turned out that they had made the right choice, and the economic value of the Belt and Road has far exceeded what was originally envisaged
It not only stabilized Hungary's economic development, but also curbed Germany's economic dictatorship, and more importantly, this strategic point really opened up Hungary's foreign trade!
Hungary and Germany have a lot to do with their economies and trades, but putting the entire economic focus on Germany is undoubtedly an unstable investment
Especially now the G7 is no longer the era of fame and worship on all sides, Germany is undoubtedly going downhill, so at this time, choosing a country with a geographical location that does not conflict with economic and trade as a new partner is very in line with the development of the times.
In addition, the relationship between China and Hungary is not only the relationship between the so-called revolutionary comrades-in-arms, nor is it limited to the so-called economic partners.
Historical origins
When it comes to the nomadic peoples in the north in the ancient history of the mainland, we have to mention the 'Huns'.
As the ruthless role that Qin Shi Huang and Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty could not avoid, it has to be said that the strong combat effectiveness of the Xiongnu, and in the early century AD, the Northern Xiongnu were expelled from the Altai Mountains by the Khan Emperor, and they no longer appeared on the mainland after going all the way west.
With the development of history and the change of times, the reappearance of this Xiongnu was already at the end of the 4th century AD, first destroying the Alan Qing in eastern Europe, and then driving out the Goths, deep into the hinterland of Europe, becoming an armed force hovering in this land.
Later, after the ancestors of Hungary, the Magyars, entered Europe, they merged with many ethnic groups, including the Xiongnu, and established the Hungarians, which were later relatively unified
Later, in 1000 AD, the Kingdom of Hungary was formed, and of course, later Hungary also went through a process of splitting up and separating, and finally in modern times established the Hungarian Soviet Republic under the leadership of the Soviet Union.
Of course, this legacy of the Soviet Union has already collapsed
But inevitably, even Hungary itself agreed that the Xiongnu must have very deep roots in their own country, which gave Hungary and China the prerequisites for friendly exchanges.
Even Hungary's Prime Minister Viktor Orban once publicly stated that Hungary is the most western Oriental.
This is the historical relationship between China and Hungary, and this is also the reason why the mainland and Hungary hit it off
The two countries are so compatible in terms of Xi and economy, which is the key reason for our next step of cooperation and development.

In the final analysis, the EU is an act of European countries huddling together, and in the face of a crisis, small countries will be sacrificed as a matter of course, and Hungary has seen it clearly after experiencing the economic crisis
The United States transferred the crisis to the European countries, and the developed countries of the European Union to the small countries, which finally brought the destruction of the real economy and the serious economic losses to the small countries.
Only by shifting the economic focus and increasing their own trade weight is the fundamental reason why the EU can retreat from the EU, which is why 26 of the 44 European countries have resolutely joined the Belt and Road Initiative.
This China-led economic development strategy can be said to take what it needs, and it does not need to look at the face of the big countries, and can increase the limit of independent trade to a greater extent, which is also an opportunity for Hungary to better carry out economic and trade.
Of course, Hungary also understands the truth of reciprocating, and has strongly supported China at several EU joint meetings against China, and even when the Belt and Road Initiative was launched, in the face of strong resistance from EU giants, it chose to publicly call on small countries to join it and pursue its own interests.
Even at the beginning of the epidemic a few years ago, at the beginning of the smear of the epidemic vaccine developed by the mainland, it publicly supported China with actions and became the first European country to use Chinese vaccines, even violating the EU's unified procurement regulations for this.
This was a de facto and resolute support, and Hungary's appeal had an indescribable impact on the implementation of the continental strategy in Europe
