21 people "Thousand Hands Guanyin"

Tai Lihua was a deaf and dumb performer in the China Disabled People's Art Troupe at the time, and "Guanyin with a Thousand Hands" was a regular rehearsal program for them, and in 2004, they were invited to perform at the closing ceremony of the Athens Paralympic Games.
At that time, according to their normal lineup, only 12 actresses performed this show, but in the sports field of Athens, there were tens of thousands of spectators watching, and the lineup of 12 people seemed a little too small, and it was definitely not shocking enough.
In order to solve this problem, the art troupe temporarily decided to let the 9 male actors in the troupe also enter the performance lineup to form the 21-member "Thousand Hands Guanyin".

An accident embarked on the road of performance
Tai Lihua is a native of Hubei, born in 1976, she was not born deaf and mute, but caused by an accident, before this accident, she was also a normal child.
When Tai Lihua was two years old, she had learned to speak, but the accident also occurred at this time, when she was young and suffered from measles, and the doctor gave her an injection of streptomycin, which caused her to lose her hearing.
When she first got the injection, Tai Lihua felt uncomfortable in her ears, but her parents didn't pay attention to it, because the high fever she had suffered from measles had subsided, and her parents did not expect that it would cause ear problems.
When they realized that Xu Lihua's ears had lost their hearing, their parents knew that streptomycin was ototoxic, and Tai Lihua was hearing loss because of this.
Although her parents took Tai Lihua to many big hospitals, the results were unsatisfactory every time, her deafness was irreparable, and she had no voice for the rest of the time.
Tai Lihua entered the school for the disabled for Xi, where Tai Lihua learned Xi dance with the teacher, although she couldn't hear it, she could dance with the teacher's movements.
The teacher saw Tai Lihua's dancing talent and told her parents about it, and her parents were also very pleased that Tai Lihua could have a hobby and something she was good at, and strongly supported Tai Lihua to practice Xi dance.
Because she began to learn dance when she was a child, Tai Lihua has built a very solid basic skills, and at the age of 15, she entered the disabled art troupe and successfully served as the lead dancer.
Reject rich businessmen and pursue true love
The disabled art troupe needs to maintain expenses, and most of their income comes from performances, so Tai Lihua often performs with the troupe as a teenager, and often performs overseas.
In 1992, Tai Lihua came to Malaysia with the art troupe, where they participated in a performance event, although Tai Lihua has only been in the art troupe for a year, she already has an excellent level of dance.
In this event, Tai Lihua brought a stunning performance, and in the audience, there was a son of a wealthy local businessman, who was attracted by Tai Lihua's dancing, and immediately found Tai Lihua after the performance, hoping to develop with Tai Lihua.
However, Tai Lihua did not agree, she was not yet 18 years old, she was still very young, not to mention that she wanted to stay in her hometown to develop, she refused without thinking about it.
Tai Lihua met Li Chun in 1995, Li Chun enthusiastically helped Tai Lihua, and found out that Tai Lihua was deaf and mute, but he didn't care about this, but was attracted by Tai Lihua's gentleness, and in the subsequent exchanges, the two unexpectedly found that they were from the same school.
The relationship between the two who often met began to heat up rapidly, but because of the opposition of Li Chun's parents, their love ran for seven years to reach the end and became husband and wife.
Life is fulfilling
After marrying Li Chun, the two soon had a child, Li Chun's parents opposed the marriage of the two, because they were afraid that Tai Lihua's deafness would be inherited, which made Tai Lihua herself a little worried, but fortunately, her son was very healthy and there was no problem.
After having children, Tai Lihua and Li Chun's lives are getting happier and happier, and in addition, her career is also rising.
In 2006, Tai Lihua was promoted from lead dancer to the head of the China Disabled Persons Art Troupe.
In the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, the art troupe wanted to perform at the opening ceremony, but 150 performers were too many to reduce the number of attendees.
Under normal circumstances, those newcomers need to quit, but Tai Lihua can't bear to let their efforts go to waste, and in order to pave the way for them, Tai Lihua persuaded the old actors to give up the opportunity to go on stage with her, so that young people can shine.
