The eldest of the three sisters of the Song family, Song Ailing, married Kong Xiangxi, the husband of the second sister Song Qingling is Sun Yat-sen, and the husband of the third Song Meiling is Chiang Kai-shek.
Song Qingling was born in 1893, her father was more powerful in Shanghai, and she was also a friend of Sun Yat-sen.
When she was a teenager, Soong Ching Ling was sent by her family to the United States to study Xi and receive a European-style education, which made her more aware of the importance of the revolution to the country. When Sun Yat-sen launched the vigorous Xinhai Revolution in China, Soong Qingling was studying abroad, but she knew a lot about the domestic revolution.
First, she was very concerned about Chinese personality, and second, Song's father was a good friend of Sun Yat-sen, and he would mention the revolution when he contacted his daughter, and even sent domestic briefings and letters to her together, which also built a bridge between Sun Yat-sen and Soong Ching-ling.
In 1915, when Sun Yat-sen was in exile because of the setback of the revolution, Soong Qingling admired his revolutionary spirit very much, and after meeting Sun Yat-sen, he even talked with him about the national revolution, and Sun Yat-sen's views always gave her a new feeling. The young Soong Ching Ling was moved by Sun Yat-sen, and she decided to marry Sun Yat-sen.
Although Song's father and Sun Yat-sen are friends, their parents still have some objections to the idea that their daughter wants to marry Sun Yat-sen, because the age gap between the two is not small, and Sun Yat-sen had a marriage and children before this, which makes them think that Sun Yat-sen is not a good match for his daughter.
But Song Qingling was determined to marry Sun Yat-sen, and his parents had no choice. After marriage, Soong Ching Ling and Sun Yat-sen embarked on the road of revolution, but unfortunately after years of hard work, Mr. Sun Yat-sen had physical problems and died suddenly in 1925. Sun Yat-sen's history made Soong Ching-ling grief-stricken, but the words "revolution, struggle, and save China" in his last words before his death deeply affected Soong Ching-ling, which is also the belief that Soong Ching-ling has always adhered to after Sun Yat-sen's death.
In fact, in the last years of Sun Yat-sen's life, he had already come into contact with the Communist Party and took the initiative to learn about the relevant local theories, but unfortunately he left in a hurry before his revolution was completed. Under the influence of Sun Yat-sen, Soong Ching-ling also had some good feelings about our party and communist ideology.
After Sun Yat-sen's death, there was a struggle for power within the Kuomintang, and in the end, Chiang Kai-shek defeated many competitors and sat in a high position. Qiongshan did not like Chiang Kai-shek, Soong Qingling did not like him, compared with Sun Yat-sen's pure revolutionary spirit, Chiang Kai-shek obviously had more selfish desires, and his focus was on fighting for power and profit, rather than saving the country.
In 1927, Soong Ching-ling visited the Soviet Union and lived in Europe for four years, during which time she was exposed to a large number of socialist ideas, studied a large number of Marxist works, and discussed China's revolutionary issues with many Chinese revolutionaries in exile.
Through the investigation of the Soviet Union and several major capitalist countries in the world, as well as the study of Marxist monographs and exchanges with revolutionaries, Soong Ching-ling's thinking was qualitatively improved in just a few years.
During this period, she also kept an eye on the changes in the country, especially after Chiang Kai-shek launched the April 12 counter-revolutionary coup, she saw Chiang Kai-shek thoroughly as a person. Don't look at Chiang Kai-shek marrying Song Qingling's own sister, even if he becomes a relative, Song Qingling still doesn't like him.
Before Chiang Kai-shek took power, he had launched a crazy pursuit of Song Meiling, and Chiang Kai-shek at that time finally captured Song Meiling's heart through continuous pursuit, and he made the Song family recognize him, but he couldn't get Song Qingling. Song Qingling thought that Chiang Kai-shek obviously had a wife and son, but he still came to pursue his sister, and believed that this person had "bad intentions", so he persuaded his sister to stay away from him, but Song Meiling was immersed in the beauty of love, and she couldn't listen to any advice at all, and insisted on marrying Chiang Kai-shek.
After Chiang Kai-shek became related to Soong Ching-ling, he wanted to use her status as "Sun Yat-sen's wife" to improve his status and increase the legitimacy of his governance, but Soong Ching-ling was not with Chiang Kai-shek at all.
Soong Ching Ling's decision
In order to win over Song Qingling, Chiang Kai-shek once prescribed "high-ranking officials and Houlu", and Song Qingling didn't have to do anything, she could still live a hedonistic life like her eldest lady every day.
Looking at Chiang Kai-shek's face, Soong Ching-ling categorically refused, for Soong Ching-ling, Chiang Kai-shek was a betrayal, betraying Mr. Sun Yat-sen's original revolutionary intention, burning his revolutionary efforts, and turning the Kuomintang, which should have been full of revolutionary ideals, into a power center for him.
In fact, Chiang Kai-shek's behavior also caused a lot of opposition within the Kuomintang, especially those who had fought more with Mr. Sun Yat-sen regarded Chiang as a betrayal, and in this context, there were many "anti-Chiang" movements in the Kuomintang, but in the end they were suppressed by Chiang Kai-shek with a strong hand.
In the days of Chiang Kai-shek, in addition to opposing Chiang Kai-shek, Soong Ching-ling's work focused more on resisting oppression, saving the country and saving the people.
The revolutionary coup d'état launched by Chiang Kai-shek had a great impact on our party, and many outstanding party members were arrested in the coup, and some even lost their lives, especially in the later period, when Chiang Kai-shek had reached the point of madness regarding the "suppression of the communists." Even some articles that reflected the people's livelihood and had red tendencies would be arrested and imprisoned by the Kuomintang.
For these arrested literati, Song Meiling does not think that they have any problems, and will send her own forces to rescue them, including some underground party members who have been arrested, and Song Qingling will also take risks and try her best to rescue them.
After Japan's invasion of China, Chiang Kai-shek initially pursued a policy of "non-resistance," telling all the national troops not to resist the Japanese aggression; on the contrary, our party held high the banner of resistance against Japan from the very beginning, and in the face of national peril, we could not give up our country no matter what. It is a pity that at that time, our party was still in the stage of development, and its own strength was not strong.
Soong Ching-ling has always had national righteousness in her heart, and she sneered at Chiang Kai-shek's various behaviors, but on the contrary, she admired the principles and policies of the Communist Party very much; she not only published articles in newspapers openly opposing Chiang Kai-shek, but also made no secret of her appreciation and expectations for our party when foreign reporters interviewed her.
Of course, Soong Ching-ling's appreciation of our party is not just words, but put into practice. During the difficult period of our party, Soong Ching-ling used his influence to organize overseas Chinese at home and abroad to donate money and materials, and raised a large amount of medicine, food, and other necessary materials for our party to support our party's war.
In addition, she also organized many activities to comfort the front-line fighters, and called a large number of medical personnel to provide medical services to the fighters.
However, these righteous acts of Song Qingling could not be taken over by Chiang Kai-shek, in his opinion, Song Qingling was just slapping him in the face, but resentment was resentment, and Chiang Kai-shek did not dare to blatantly do anything to Song Qingling. First, Soong Ching-ling is the sister of his wife Soong Meiling, and once he wants to do something to Soong Ching-ling, it will definitely attract strong opposition from his wife, and secondly, the identity of Sun Yat-sen's widow is very important in the Kuomintang, and if he openly targets Soong Ching-ling, senior Kuomintang officials will not allow it.
But Chiang Kai-shek was a person who could not tolerate sand in his eyes, and of course he could not accept Soong Ching-ling's behavior, so Chiang Kai-shek was ready to use some "extraordinary means", that is, assassination.
Chiang Kai-shek handed over this matter to Dai Li to solve, but Dai Li also understood Song Qingling's status, if he personally took action, then I am afraid that he would also become a sinner through the ages, Dai Li naturally did not want to bear the charge, so he sent his right-hand man Shen drunk out of the horse.
In fact, she was also aware of Chiang Kai-shek's assassination of Song Qingling, after all, Song Qingling's influence and connections in the Kuomintang were not small, and her status was not low, so someone revealed to her that Chiang Kai-shek might have murderous intentions against her, so Song Qingling moved to live in the concession in Shanghai.
Under Dai Li's order, Shen Zui came to the vicinity of Song Qingling's residence, and arranged a lot of spies near Song Qingling's residence, in order to make Song Qingling afraid, Shen Zui would often prepare some "small gifts" for him, such as sending her bullets, pistols, etc., and writing threatening letters, so that Song Qingling would retreat in distress and not go against Chiang Kai-shek again.
Song Qingling didn't pay attention to these threats at all, every time he saw these things, he threw them directly into the trash, and Shen Zui saw that the threat method didn't work, so he came up with other methods.
Assassination of Soong Ching Ling
Ordinary threat letters didn't work, and the military commander decided to make a ruthless move, so that Song Qingling could see the blood.
In 1933, Yang Xingfo, the director general of the Civil Rights Protection League, was assassinated, and Soong Qingling was the chairman of the League. Soong Ching-ling was very saddened by the death of her friend, but this showed that Chiang Kai-shek was a complete villain, which strengthened her confidence in opposing Chiang.
Such a result was completely unexpected, Shen Zui could only resort to other means, this time he decided to start with Song Qingling's side.
Shen Zui selected a female spy from the military system, asked her to disguise herself as an ordinary person to contact Song Qingling's servants, and asked her to inquire about Song Qingling's Xi and the like.
Although the maid did not have much experience as a spy, she had also gained a lot of knowledge over the years by following Song Qingling to the north and south, and suddenly a woman she didn't know appeared, and she was too attentive to her, and the maid also had doubts in her heart, so she took the opportunity to be alone with Song Qingling and told Song Qingling about it.
Song Qingling bluntly said that it is not necessarily a good thing for others to be too enthusiastic, and it is best to be careful in everything, and the maid also understood Song Qingling's worries, so she broke off contact with the female spy. Shen Zui saw that this road did not go through, and prepared the next one, when the female spy was dating the maid, she heard a news, that is, the maid and her husband had separated and were currently single.
Since the female spy is unlucky, then use the "beautiful man plan", the maid's status is not high, so the "beautiful man plan" against her naturally cannot use the rich and handsome, but use some ordinary men. This plan has been dragged on, and later Dai Li's plane crashed, the Kuomintang was defeated, and no one cared about the assassination of Soong Qingling. In 1958, Chairman Mao personally instructed the war criminals to come to the National Day ceremony.
