After reading the appearance display and protocol test of this charger, let's disassemble it and take a look at the internal materials and design.
Disassemble the charger housing along the seams of the housing.
The AC pin supplies power to the PCBA module by crimping the dome.
The PCBA module is fixed inside the card slots on both sides of the housing.
Remove the PCBA module from the inside of the housing.
PCBA module electrolytic capacitor and transformer gluing reinforcement.
On the other side, the output plate and the filter solid-state capacitor are welded, which are also glued and reinforced.
The length of the PCBA module measured by vernier calipers is about 41mm.
The width of the PCBA module is about 35.6mm.
The thickness of the PCBA module is about 17.7mm.
The front of the PCBA module is soldered with a fuse on the left, a high-voltage filter capacitor on the top, a differential mode inductor and a transformer on the bottom, a blue Y capacitor on the top right, and a protocol board and a filter solid-state capacitor on the bottom.
A glance at the back of the PCBA module, the rectifier bridge is welded in the lower left corner, the gallium nitride sealed chip is welded in the upper right, the synchronous rectifier chip is welded in the upper right corner, and the feedback optocoupler is welded below.
Through the observation of the PCBA module, it is found that the Zhaowen 25W GaN charger adopts the design of flyback switching power supply, with synchronous rectifier chip, and the output voltage is adjusted by the protocol chip through optocoupler feedback. The gallium nitride encapsulated chip, synchronous rectifier chip and protocol chip inside the charger are all from Huayuan Zhixin. The gallium nitride encapsulated chip is from Huayuan Zhixin, with a HYC3601 model, using intelligent digital multi-mode control, peak current control mode, CCM mode operation under low input voltage, and QR mode operation under high input voltage. High efficiency is achieved over the full voltage input range. The overload protection period is 14mS, the jitter frequency is supported to improve EMI performance, and the adaptive gate driver balances switching losses and EMI at an operating frequency of 89KHz, achieving a balance between volume and switching losses.
Huayuan Zhixin HYC3601 has built-in rich and perfect protection functions, supporting transformer magnetic saturation protection, chip power supply overvoltage protection, output overload protection, output voltage overvoltage protection, on-chip overtemperature protection, current sampling resistance open circuit protection, standby power consumption less than 75mW, with low starting current.

The synchronous rectifier chip adopts Huayuan Zhixin HYC9030, which is a low-side synchronous rectifier chip without auxiliary power supply coil. The chip integrates a 60V 14mΩ synchronous rectifier tube, supports DCM, CCM, PFM, QR working modes, the chip supply voltage is 3-25V, has adaptive pre-shutdown drive to speed up the shutdown transition, supports optional minimum shutdown time, drive pull-down at startup, 10nS shutdown delay and other functions.
