And to the closest dynasty to China - "Qing Dynasty", but also put the word "China" on the world stage, the Qing Dynasty everyone knows that it is a dynasty established by the Manchus, since the Kangxi Dynasty, the Manchus are called "nobles", and the rest of the people are collectively called "Chinese".
However, in the last years of the Qing Dynasty, the name "China" was formalized on the international stage, as Emperor Guangxu often used China and the Qing Dynasty interchangeably until the national power weakened and many unequal treaties were signed with Western countries.
On February 12, 1912, the last emperor of China's feudal dynasty, Aixin Jueluo Puyi, issued the last abdication edict, which also marked the end of the Qing Dynasty.
Since the establishment of the Republic of China, Sun Yat-sen has created the new Republic of China, referred to as "China", at this time "China" is named after the concept of the country, and officially put into the first official use of the word.
After the defeat of the Kuomintang and the Communist Party in the civil war, the end of the Republic of China, and the victory of the 14-year counter-revolutionary war, the "People's Republic of China" was proclaimed on October 1, 1949, referred to as "China", and all ethnic groups in the People's Republic of China are collectively referred to as the "Chinese nation".

This is inseparable from the people of the mainland, and China has gradually evolved from the previous feudal backwardness to a world power, from being oppressed by any country before, to a military power that terrifies Western countries.
The reason why we are called the descendants of the dragon
"There was a dragon in the ancient East, and its name was China, and there was a group of people in the ancient East, and they were all descendants of the dragon", it can be seen from this well-known lyrics that we are the descendants of the dragon.
The dragon has always been regarded as a symbol of auspiciousness and dignity by the emperor in ancient times, and its status is irreplaceable, but the dragons of each dynasty are different, some are gorgeous and elegant, and some show a sense of majesty, in short, the basic characteristics of the dragon are directly retained.
The reason why the Chinese are called "the descendants of the dragon" is because the dragon is our national spirit, and it also represents the tenacious and unyielding spirit of the mainland people, which has a certain relationship with the dragon's arrogance and non-abandonment.
