After 13 hours, Li Bin announced that the final mileage of the test was 1,044 kilometers, but at this time, the remaining 3% of the battery is still expected to be able to travel more than 30 kilometers. In this test, the number of kilometers of intelligent driving was 957 kilometers, and the comprehensive energy consumption of the trip was 13.2 degrees per 100 kilometers.
In fact, Li Bin said in 2021 that the NIO ES8 equipped with the battery pack at that time could reach a range of 730 kilometers (NEDC mode), while the mid-to-large flagship sedan ET7 was expected to have a range of more than 1,000 kilometers.
According to data previously given by NIO, the battery pack was previously tested internally and "set a record for electric vehicles" with a score of 1,145 kilometers from Kunming to Beihai.
Li Bin suggested to other car companies during the test: CEOs of major car companies have personally tested the real range of their electric vehicles. "CEOs can do it, and the average user must be similar. At the same time, he said, CEO battery life should "become an industry standard".
Li Bin also revealed some details about the 150-degree battery pack during the live broadcast, which is claimed to be the world's first non-thermal runaway soft-pack CTP battery, and the battery cells used are independently developed by NIO, with an energy density of up to 360Wh/kg, which is currently the product with the highest power and highest energy density that can be mass-produced in China.
