Recently, the closing ceremony of the "2023 Southeast University Freshman Cultural Season" and the freshman art show were held in the Jiao Ting Biaoguan Theater of the Jiulonghu Campus of Southeast University. The show was also broadcast live online to all teachers, students and alumni from all over the world.
With the theme of "Chasing Dreams and Setting New Voyages for New Glory", the freshman art show is divided into four chapters: Encountering the University of Tokyo, Colorful the University of Tokyo, Feeling the University of Tokyo, and Setting Sail for the University of Tokyo, using interviews, music, dance, fashion shows, stage plays and other stage means to show the youth, passion and vitality of the students of the University, carry forward the spirit of the times, and cultivate the feelings of the new students for their family and country.
This event not only has a distinct theme and ideology, but also reveals a strong cultural connotation, reflecting the multi-level and high-grade artistic charm.
In the chapter of "Encountering the University of Tokyo", the fashion show "Courtyard Builds with the Virtuous and Gorgeous Clothes is Self-Contained", which uses classic architecture as the prototype to create catwalk costumes to express tribute to the predecessors and thinking about architecture; the light and shadow drama "Light and Shadow of the University of Tokyo 2023" uses staggered light and shadow to tell the campus life of the University of Tokyo, "Towards Youth", which ignites the passion of youth through song joint singing and dragon dance performances, and this year marks the 130th anniversary of the birth of Mr. Xiong Qinglai, an outstanding mathematician and educator and founder of the Department of Mathematics of Southeast University, and the on-site interview "Mr. Big: Xiong Qinglai" Mr. Xiong Qinglai's granddaughter and grandson-in-law Xiong Youjin and Chen Liqin were invited to talk about Mr. Xiong Qinglai's spiritual character and demeanor, and guide the young people of Dongda in the new era to see the sages and think together, follow the footsteps of the sages of Dongda, carry forward the spirit of scientists, and make new contributions to the realization of high-level scientific and technological self-reliance and self-reliance.
In the chapter of "Colorful Dongda", there is not only the guqin song "The Way of the University", but also the hip-hop dance and wota art performance "Colorful Youth Dance". In the on-site interview "No Sports, No Youth", Guo Fan, the swimming coach of the Chinese delegation to the Chengdu Universiade and a teacher of the Department of Physical Education of Southeast University, and Ma Yiyi, the gold medalist of the Chengdu Universiade and a 2020 undergraduate student of the School of Law, shared the achievements of the people of the University of Tokyo in major events at home and abroad such as the Universiade, the Asian Games, and the Student Youth Games, showing the world the vigorous struggle of the strength of the East University. Chengxian College brought a large-scale song and dance "Where the Love Is", which showed the school's educational philosophy and work achievements in comprehensively strengthening and improving the school's physical education work in the new era and cultivating first-class leading talents.
In the chapter of "Feeling the University of Tokyo", the original situational poem and painting "Glimmer", the beautiful dance "Flying Music", and the on-site interview "The Youth of Dongda who are constantly striving for self-improvement" tell the inspirational dream story of Dong Yichao, a "wheelchair boy" and a freshman of the 2023 class of the liberal arts experimental class.
In the chapter of "Sailing for the University of Tokyo", the instrumental ensemble "Drunken Fu" allows the audience to look back on the centennial elegance of civil engineering in the melodious music; the Beijing song "Chasing the Moon" continues to cultivate the seeds of inheriting the art of Peking Opera and promoting traditional culture sown by Huang Xiaoci, a model of the Jiangsu era and the winner of "Second Plum", and "Xiangjiang Pillow Haijia Southeast" sings the pride and dreams of the people of Dongda.
It is reported that the "2023 Southeast University Freshman Cultural Season" led by the Youth League Committee of Southeast University lasted for three months, and in more than 100 days and nights, more than 10,000 students of Southeast University actively participated in the activities of the "2023 Southeast University Freshman Cultural Season".
