The concept version of the new-generation Swift was previously unveiled at the 2023 Tokyo Motor Show, and the production version was unveiled last month, and the start of sales will begin on December 13, depending on the version. The new car is available in a 1.2-liter petrol and 1.2-liter mild hybrid version, with XG (petrol version), MX (mild hybrid) and MZ (mild hybrid) models to choose from, respectively. The focus is on the selling price, which is equivalent to about 83,000-113,000 yuan, and in general, if it is still competitive in the domestic market.
In fact, hearing the news of Swift, many people are still more emotional, after all, it has a high degree of recognition in the domestic market, because its quality control is very good, but then because its product strength has obvious shortcomings in the domestic market demand, and its own unchanged measures, resulting in the defeat of the Chinese market. The exterior part, first of all, the vehicle provides 9 exterior colors, as well as 4 two-tone body colors, which shows that the new car also hopes to add points from the appearance. The dimensions of the vehicle are remarkable, with a length, width and height of 3860/1695/1500 (1525) mm and a wheelbase of 2450 mm.
In the interior, the new car has a sense of sophistication and has been redesigned. The center console is equipped with a 9-inch floating center control screen, and the air conditioning vents are moved below the multimedia display. The driving assistance configuration is not bad, with adaptive cruise control, electronic parking, lane keeping assist, adaptive high beams, etc. The overall interior space has not changed much, although it is not suitable for the domestic market, but it is becoming popular in its home country.
In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a new 1.2-liter naturally aspirated three-cylinder engine, which can reach 60 kilowatts of power and 108 Nm of peak torque, matched with a CVT gearbox, which is decent. The new model is also available in a 1.2-litre mild hybrid variant with a DC motor that delivers a maximum power of 2.3 kW and a peak torque of 60 Nm, and is also available with a five-speed manual gearbox or a CVT gearbox. It is worth noting that the XG (petrol), MX (mild hybrid) and MZ (mild hybrid) models that will be available in the aforementioned new car are all available in all-wheel drive versions. Obviously, the car is still playing in its native land.
In fact, judging from the news of Suzuki's new generation of swifts, there are still some users in China.
