There are several routes to the summit of Mount Tai:
1. Taohuayu Mountaineering Route (the most convenient)
Taohuayu is about 16 kilometers away from the city of Tai'an at the southern foot of Mount Tai, connecting Tai'an and Jinan with National Highway 104 and Beijing-Shanghai (Beijing-Fuzhou) Expressway, which is the most convenient and time-saving tour route for self-driving and car tourists. In addition, the Taohuayu mountaineering line is relatively gentle and stretched, there is no stone step winding road, and there is a highway leading from the mountain pass to the three-forked stream cableway station halfway up the mountainside.
This hiking trail has few attractions and is not an ideal walking route. The first half of the journey is connected by road, and the second half of the journey is connected by a ropeway to the top of the mountain, where visitors with poor physical strength can choose to take a vehicle up the mountain.
2. Red Gate Pandao Hiking Route (the most classic)
The most classic mountaineering line, that is, the Red Gate Line, is the mountaineering royal road of the emperors of previous dynasties, located in the central axis of Mount Tai Qianshan, the Red Gate - the Middle Tianmen - the South Tianmen line. This scenic spot is majestic and steep, the scenery is magnificent, but the mountain is high and the road is steep, the climb is more difficult, and you can go straight to the top of the mountain through 6666 steps. The climb is at a moderate pace, and the whole journey takes 4 hours. It is known for its seclusion. Temples, stone carvings, ancient trees, and many legends along the way are the essence of Mount Tai, and the physical exertion of mountaineering is great on this road. However, if you are physically exhausted halfway, you can transfer to the cableway to reach Daiding after arriving at Zhongtianmen. However, it is already halfway here, so it is recommended that you hold on a little longer and climb eighteen plates. This route is the essence of Mount Tai, and it best reflects the charm of Mount Tai's natural and cultural heritage. As long as you have plenty of energy and time, don't ignore this line!
3. Tianwai Village Car Mountaineering Route (the most trouble-free)
The summit line of Tiandi Square (Taishan West Road) is located in the west of the mountain in front of Mount Tai, the first line of Tiandi Square-Zhongtianmen-Nantianmen. This scenic spot is famous for its openness. There is a mountain road from the front section of Tiandi Square to Zhongtianmen, and there is a mountain cableway from Zhongtianmen to Nantianmen in the back section, do not take half a step of mountain road, take the car to transfer to the cableway, and easily reach the top of Mount Tai. It is arguably the most leisurely hiking route. But at the same time, this route is also the most expensive route.
4. Sky Candle Peak Hiking Route (the most primitive and natural)
The Tianzhufeng Mountaineering Line is located at the eastern foot of Taishan Mountain, which is far away from the traffic arteries and has a strong mountain atmosphere. The steepness of the mountain is slightly inferior to the red gate mountaineering road of the front mountain, it is the scenic spot with the lowest degree of artificial development in Mount Tai, primitive and simple, the natural features are kept intact, it is famous for the strange pine, the strange stone, it is the place where Mount Tai "is unique".
Tianzhu Peak-Houshiwu route is handsome, turquoise and colorful, and the natural beauty is not inferior to Zhangjiajie, which is the best route for adventure travel and self-guided travel.
Here I will mainly talk about the most classic Red Gate line, take a car to the Red Gate parking lot, there are several parking lots where you can park, I chose the innermost one. There are many shops here, selling hiking crutches, ponchos, and snacks, water, drinks or something, hiking crutches are highly recommended, which is a must-have for ordinary people to climb Mount Tai [athletes ignore], if the weather is bad, buy a poncho belt. There are many kinds of crutches in price, generally you can buy ordinary wooden ones, and you can buy shrink ones with springs if you are not bad for money.
Climbing Mount Tai at night is generally more than 10 o'clock in the evening, depending on personal physical strength, at least two bottles of water are prepared, there are supplies on the mountain that are not enough, and some food is also prepared, and it is necessary to climb a backpack. There are also down jackets or jackets to bring, you don't need to sweat when climbing the mountain, but when you get to the top of the mountain and wait for the sunrise, it's too cold, you can't stand it without these clothes, there are coats sold on the mountain, and you can also go to the top to buy it if you don't have bad money.
The price of Zhongtianmen Cableway is 100 yuan per trip, which can go directly to Nantianmen, and then walk one thousand meters to reach the Jade Emperor Peak, with a maximum altitude of 1,545 meters.
If you go down the mountain and take the ropeway, you will have to pay 100 yuan. The interval ticket is 35 yuan per person, and if you are too tired to go down the mountain, you can choose to take the cableway to Zhongtianmen, and then change to the shuttle bus directly to Tianwai Village.
Tai'an here is very convenient to eat and live, here I recommend two places, the first choice of the hotel Kyriad Hotel, convenient transportation, convenient parking, accommodation is not expensive, standard room more than 180 a night, the environment is also clean and tidy, warm and thoughtful service.
