  Apple's efforts in the automotive sector have sparked a lot of speculation over the years, following constant news that the Apple car could be launched in a few years. In Bloomberg's latest "Power On" newsletter on Sunday, Mark Gurman said that Apple's car building is still a way out. More specifically, though, Apple doesn't expect to release anything for the project before 2030.

  Gurman's judgment comes after another statement by Mr. Kuo in late September. At the time, Mr. Kuo had said he had "lost all visibility" to the project and doubted that the Apple car could go into mass production in the next few years. In March this year, Ming-Chi Kuo posted that the Apple car team had been disbanded, and the release plan for 2025 looked far away.

  Gurman's remarks were part of a discussion that followed Apple's fourth-quarter 2023 financial results. He said that in order to truly revive the business, Apple must create the "next big thing" for the market, and mixed reality devices like the Apple Car and Apple Vision Pro are the most likely projects to be financially successful.
