According to export data for the first quarter of this year, the top ten countries in mainland new energy vehicle exports are Russia, the United States, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Japan, Australia, Germany, the United Arab Emirates and South Korea, accounting for 48.5% of the total export value. New energy vehicles are not only mainly sold in various developed countries and regions, but also successfully realize the "reverse Amway" to major new energy exporters such as the United States and Japan.

According to tram resources, in the past two years, more and more new energy logistics vehicle companies in the mainland are also accelerating the pace of going global, such as Geely Remote has promoted a large overseas plan, Xinyuan New Energy has established an overseas business department, etc., and the rising overseas market has become a gold panning channel for more and more OEMs.

On the other hand, looking back at the history of China's automobile exports in the past decade, it has been hovering around 1 million units, and under the "onslaught" of new energy vehicles, China's automobile exports will exceed 3 million units in 2022, achieving a leap from 2.138 million units to 3.111 million units. According to statistics from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, in the first eight months of this year, the number of automobile exports from mainland China reached 2.941 million units, a year-on-year increase of 61.9%. Previously, the industry predicted that the overall automobile export volume will exceed 4 million units in 2023, and it is expected to reach 4.5 million units, with unlimited development potential.

Looking forward to the future, new energy vehicle companies have a long way to go to "go overseas". Car companies need to rely on local dealers rather than establish channels alone, do a good job in after-sales service, maintain the overall brand image of China's new energy vehicles, and work together to collectively protect rights in the face of overseas trade barriers.

From January to December 2022, commercial vehicle production totaled 3.185 million units, down 31.9% y/y, and sales totaled 3.3 million units, down 31.9% y/y, showing a double-digit decline, but overseas markets performed well, with cumulative commercial vehicle exports totaling 582,000 units in 2022, up 44.9% y/y. Among them, the export of new energy commercial vehicles reached 27,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 1.3 times, and the overseas influence of Chinese commercial vehicle brands is constantly increasing.

This year, Continental commercial vehicles are still growing. According to statistics from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, from January to August this year, mainland commercial vehicle exports were 486,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 31.1%; According to August data alone, Mainland commercial vehicle exports were 59,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 21.4%.

Among them, trucks are still the main model of commercial vehicle exports. According to data from the China Automobile Dealers Association, in the first half of this year, Continental exported a total of 334591 trucks, a year-on-year increase of 33%, setting a new high in the same period in recent years.

It is worth noting that the export volume of new energy trucks is also very eye-catching, with a cumulative export of 24,425 new energy trucks (including pure electric and plug-in hybrid) from January to June 2023, up 252% year-on-year from 6,942 units in the same period last year. The 252% increase compared with the 27.7% year-on-year increase of domestic new energy trucks from January to June is also a crushing victory, and Russia has become an exporter that has contributed greatly to the mainland truck export market this year with the number of imported 69,244 vehicles.

The world is accelerating the process of carbon reduction, European and American countries and some countries along the "Belt and Road" have also begun to pay attention to the environmental protection benefits of vehicles, so the demand for new energy trucks has increased greatly, and new energy light trucks have become the main force of commercial vehicle exports.

With the continuous improvement of new energy commercial vehicles, the future performance of car companies with new energy commercial vehicle business is expected to improve. The intelligence of commercial vehicles has become a major trend in the development of the industry to help reduce labor costs, improve safety, and improve transportation efficiency. At present, commercial vehicle companies are vigorously promoting their own product intelligence business.
