Interview with Li Yuanlin, chairman of Ambersong Technology Group Co., Ltd
Thanks to the rapid growth of new energy vehicles and energy storage markets, Continental has become the world's largest producer and consumer of lithium batteries. With the rapid growth of high-end demand based on power lithium batteries, the competition in the lithium battery equipment manufacturing industry is becoming increasingly fierce. At the same time, under the background of actively promoting low-carbon transformation and energy conservation and carbon reduction in countries around the world, lithium battery material companies are paying more and more attention to the production efficiency, energy conservation and low-cost operation of lithium battery equipment.
As a high-end intelligent equipment and intelligent production line solution in the field of micro-nano materials for many years, Ambersong Technology Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Ambersong") can provide low-cost, high-efficiency and energy-saving overall solutions for lithium battery cathode materials, graphite anodes, silicon-carbon anodes and conductive pastes.
Recently, the author is honored to invite Li Yuanlin, chairman of Ambersong Technology Group Co., Ltd., to conduct an exclusive interview. In the interview, Li Yuanlin shared the story of Ambersong's development in the field of micro-nano materials, energy-saving and efficient overall solutions, and insistence on innovative research and development to provide intelligent "Chinese solutions" for lithium battery production.
Take advantage of the "new energy" east wind to develop rapidly
With the advancement of global energy transformation and the increasing proportion of clean energy, energy storage technology plays an increasingly important role in ensuring grid stability, promoting new energy consumption, and improving energy efficiency. Due to its advantages of high energy density, good economy, fast response, flexible configuration and short construction period, lithium batteries have become electrochemical energy storage with relatively mature technology and the fastest development momentum.
From the early service in the fine chemical field to the decision to set up a professional R&D team in 2015, Amber Song has accumulated rich experience in process research and development and core equipment development of micro-nano materials. Since its establishment, Amber has spared no effort to invest in R&D resources and cultivate talents, and its experience in different industries such as coatings, inks, resins, additives, food and medicine, and cosmetics has laid a solid foundation for Ambersong to enter the new energy industry.
Looking back at the 11 years that Amber Song has gone through, Li Yuanlin is full of emotion. Therefore, I think that manufacturing must sink, and the deeper it sinks, the higher it floats. Li Yuanlin said. As a national "high-tech enterprise" and a representative of the national specialized and special new "little giant" enterprise, Amber Song has realized the "import substitution" of nanomaterial processing equipment.
Be a leader in overall solutions
New energy industries such as lithium batteries have higher and higher requirements for the safety of the production process, such as the need to achieve quality traceability of the whole production process, and the traditional process equipment and production management mode have become more and more difficult to meet today's market demand. Therefore, the lithium battery industry needs a whole-process solution that can help lithium battery manufacturers optimize their production processes and effectively improve quality, production efficiency and accuracy.
In the fields of lithium batteries (including cathode materials, anode materials, battery homogenates, etc.), fine chemicals and new materials, Amber can provide complete one-stop solutions to build an industry-leading smart factory for customers. "Since Amber Song entered the lithium battery industry, there have been very successful application cases from cathode lithium iron phosphate, ternary materials to negative graphite and carbon silicon materials, covering the whole production process from the main core equipment to the entire intelligent production line control." Li Yuanlin said.
Li Yuanlin introduced that through the scientific research team of Dr. He Junhong, director of the Institute of Intelligent Industry and Informatization of Northwestern Polytechnical University, Amber Digital Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. was established. From the manufacturing fields of process research, equipment research and development, production process control, quality control, energy optimization, equipment operation and maintenance, and data application, we jointly carry out the innovative application of new technologies to create differentiated value for customers in the field of micro-nano materials, and help the industry embark on the journey of intelligent manufacturing.
In order to improve delivery capabilities, Amber Song takes Shanghai as the R&D and technology center, and sets up two major manufacturing bases in Taicang, Jiangsu (see Figure 1) and Changzhou, as well as two R&D and manufacturing bases of Changzhou New Energy and Huzhou Intelligent Equipment under construction (see Figure 2 and Figure 3), focusing on the construction of smart factories, industrial supporting facilities and high-end intelligent equipment in the field of lithium battery materials. It can achieve faster production line delivery for customers and help them seize the market.

In the interview, Li Yuanlin specifically mentioned that in 2023, Amber Song launched a new intelligent product for micro-nano material treatment - high-speed online homogenization system (see Figure 4). Compared with the traditional homogenization system, the core key of the high-speed online homogenization system is "IMS online dispersion equipment (see Figure 5)", which can suck the powder into the equipment without loss by negative pressure feeding, without additional negative pressure; At the same time, through the Venturi principle, after the powder enters the vacuum chamber inside IMS, efficient shear and dispersion is done between the stator and the rotor, and finally the powder is fully wetted and dispersed, and evenly mixed into the liquid material to form a stable suspension. The high-speed online homogenizing system not only has good pulping effect, but also has low energy efficiency, saving more than 70% energy than traditional high-speed dispersing equipment.

"Amber now has a comprehensive lithium battery material smart factory industry application case, the industry reputation is solid, there have been a number of overseas orders, I personally expect that in the next three years, our overseas orders account for more than half of the overall orders." Li Yuanlin said proudly.

Li Yuanlin said that it can achieve such high results because Ambersong has five capabilities: equipment development and manufacturing, intelligent factory construction, process optimization design, engineering project implementation and formula research and development services, focusing on solving the core technology of "stuck neck" materials, and has been demanding itself in accordance with the highest standards in the industry, so that formulas, processes and equipment can be organically combined, and technological innovation and product iteration are continuously realized, providing the industry with high efficiency, high stability, Intelligent and energy-saving micro-nano material preparation overall solution. "Amber Song has a rich micro-nano material manufacturing process "Know-How", in the process has its own unique core competitiveness, such as through thousands of test research and development, Amber Song mastered the core technology of nanomaterial dispersion and grinding below 50 nm, and realized the processing path of high-efficiency, high-purity and low-cost industrialization of nanomaterials. Li Yuanlin said.

During the interview, the author was deeply touched by Li Yuanlin's entrepreneurial enthusiasm and full dedication in the field of materials many times. The great emphasis on innovative research and development has made Amber Song one of the world's leaders in micro-nano material processing. "Innovation is not three or two sentences can be done, especially in the field of material technology innovation, in order to be ahead of foreign enterprises, more need to invest a lot of manpower, material resources, financial resources, although this road is difficult to take, but Amber Song will always adhere to the road of localization innovation, for the field of micro and nano materials innovation and development to contribute their own strength." At present, while increasing investment in research and development and strengthening the construction of innovation system, Amber Song has also increased the cultivation of talents, and through strategic cooperation with a number of colleges and universities, it has built an integrated intelligent R&D platform of "production, education and research", collaborative innovation, and empowered the industry and contributed to social development with innovative products and technologies.
