His comrade-in-arms, Wei Qiming, was demobilized from the Frontline Repertory Theatre in 1973 and returned to Shanghai as a worker.

But he did not believe in evil, did not have the opportunity to create opportunities, and also had to act. So he created an amateur drama team in the unit, organizing young people who love to perform together and rehearsing many plays.
Just when he first started this drama team, he heard that Liao Youliang, a good comrade-in-arms who had previously been in the frontline drama troupe, had also returned to Shanghai, but when he was only working as a worker in a hardware factory in Jiading, he tried everything he could to transfer Liao Youliang to his drama team. This made Liao Youliang not interrupt his dream of being an actor.
