W Macau
Recently, W Studio City Macau, built by world-renowned Zaha Hadid Architects, officially opened. Zaha Studios was commissioned to complete the expansion of the resort in 2017, designing Studio City Two and its new leisure, entertainment and hospitality facilities, including one of Asia's largest indoor water parks.
Inspired by Hollywood films shot in Macau in the 50s, Phase II offers a modern reinterpretation of the rich details, bold geometric shapes and contemporary style that symbolizes Macao's East-meets-West cultural, historical and natural aesthetics.
The architectural tower of W Hotel references the Art Deco architectural style of the golden age of the rise of cinema, but is innovatively expressed, with a black silver glass screen that pays homage to film and a V-hook that metaphorizes "starlight", making the tower both retro and modern, combining Studio City's cinematic theme with W's chic and vibrancy.
Vertical posture of the hotel tower is outlined by fins surrounding the exterior of the building, and the insulating glass unit and sunshade fins are constructed of three different levels of glass to reduce solar radiation and glare while maintaining indoor thermal comfort for guests and staff.
A BREEAM Asia Awards winner, Studio II's high-performance building maintenance structure and new efficient services will help reduce energy demand throughout the resort.

SF Headquarters Building
SF Headquarters Building, located in the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone in Shenzhen, is a fully functional and efficient high-rise building, designed by gmp von Gerkan, Marg & Partners Architects of Germany, which has been completed and put into use.
The main tower of the building is more than 200 meters high, with an area of 75830 m2 above ground and 14211 m2 underground. Four additional volumes "grow" staggeredly to form a rhythmic retreat. The vertically extended building is topped by a receding lobby known as the "Sky Gallery", covered with a large glass curtain wall that can be used as a sports space, reading room or sky greenhouse garden, with spectacular views overlooking the Front Bay and the Pearl River Delta. The "Sky View Gallery" gives SF Headquarters a distinctive personality and constitutes a landmark building with a sense of space.
The striking vertical structure curtain wall design gives the tower an elegant vertical sense and expresses the corporate image in materials and colors. The use of metal perforated panels expresses a sparkling texture that highlights the regional character of the former waterfront water.
The vertical louvers on the building's curtain wall are composed of two floors, and the grid texture can open the sash to hide behind it, allowing natural ventilation of the office space inside the building. At the same time, the built-in artificial lighting system makes the building curtain wall more exquisite and beautiful at night. The double-layer curtain wall technology makes the whole project more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly.
In urban planning, a linkage mechanism connects SF's headquarters with other high-rise buildings around it – including the Qianhai Free Trade Building, also designed by gmp. High-density urban buildings are complemented by green landscapes to form attractive urban plots.

Eni Group's headquarters in Milan
Designed as Eni's exploration and production business centre, the headquarters covers an area of 65,000 square meters and an area of 73,826 square meters, including 4,600 office units. With natural light, green spaces and social spaces at its core, the design aims to create an office environment that promotes employee health and well-being.
The new headquarters is located in the Metanopoli district of San Donato Milanese, a suburb southeast of Milan, Italy. The design continues the history of Eni Group since 1952, preserving part of the Group's historic buildings and transforming them into new campus entrances to commemorate its important contribution to Italy's post-World War II economic recovery; At the same time, it also continues the vision of the Group's founders to create a utopian community, opening a new chapter in the energy transition era for the Group.
Post-pandemic workplaces still retain fragmented character. For many companies, whether returning to the office from remote work or adopting a hybrid work scenario, there is a growing focus on workplace quality and a quality work environment that increases employee trust.
The entire park consists of three office towers connected by sky bridges and a central plaza. Interconnected office buildings together surround the central plaza. The plaza features multi-level gardens with shared spaces for dining and socializing, designed to facilitate communication and create a healthy work experience.
All buildings have an efficient and flexible floor plan to create a modern, open-plan office space structure. Most of the staff's office space is located at the periphery of the floor, while private offices and meeting rooms are located on the central axis, combined with plenty of light and views from the large number of sashes to provide the best working experience for employees.
The design of the building's façade is inspired by geological structures and closely linked to the energy industry in which Eni Group operates. The design uses blue and orange perforated metal plates to form a gradually layered visual effect, metaphorically changing the formation, and highlighting the morphological aesthetics of the building, as if three buildings meandering from the gradient formation.
