Life is bumpy, and the struggle does not stop. Sun Daguang of Shou County, Anhui, was born in 1917 to a poor family, but his life was full of tenacity and the spirit of struggle. He barely finished primary school at an early age, but dropped out due to poor family circumstances, but thanks to his uncle's help, he was able to complete junior high school. However, the ups and downs of fate forced him to drop out of school again, but he also embarked on an unexpected life path.
A bookstore in Shanghai became a new starting point for Sun Daguang. There he became an apprentice and then a clerk.
This experience exposed him to a large number of books and cultivated his strong interest in antique calligraphy and painting.
In 1934, at the age of 17, Sun Daguang embarked on the journey of revolution and joined the Communist Youth League to engage in propaganda and organizational work. After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, he devoted himself to united front work and eventually joined the Kuomintang. In the smoke of war, he transmitted a lot of important information to our party and became a hero who quietly dedicated.
After the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Sun Daguang entered the northeast with Xiong Shihui and others, and made great achievements for the liberation of Changchun. However, he also fell into the risk of the internal investigation of the national army, and he skillfully defused the crisis, showing extraordinary wisdom and courage.
After the liberation, the People's Republic of China was founded, and Sun Daguang served in the Ministry of Communications for a long time, contributing his strength to the development of the national transportation industry. In 1975, Sun Daguang returned to work and became the director of the General Administration of Geology, once again contributing his wisdom and strength to the geological cause. In this position, he had the courage to discover and promote young cadres with real talents and practical learning, including Wen Jiabao, the later premier of the State Council.
Under the training of Sun Daguang, Wen Jiabao quickly grew from deputy director of the provincial geological bureau to vice minister of the Ministry of Geology, in less than three years.

In 1986, Sun Daguang chose to take a back seat, he returned to his hometown, took his children to revisit his hometown, and also developed the determination to make substantial contributions to the education of his hometown. He generously donated the precious cultural relics he has collected for many years, including many national first-class cultural relics, worth more than 100 million yuan.
Anhui Province also awarded him a special reward of 400,000 yuan, which he used to build a brand new teaching building for the primary school in his hometown.
In 1998, he auctioned off his collection of famous calligraphy and paintings, and the proceeds were not only used to expand the middle school buildings in his hometown, but also set up an education fund to sponsor many poor students in his hometown. His dedication has won the warm love of the people of his hometown.
In 2005, Sun Daguang, who was 88 years old, passed away, leaving behind a life model of strength, struggle, education and service to the country.
