The difference between the two is that GB/T 25181-2019 "Ready-mixed mortar" does not stipulate freeze-thaw, heat aging and other items.
In addition, the two standards have a common indicator that is tensile bond strength. Depending on the grade of tile adhesive, the tensile bond strength will be different.
In general, the use of tile adhesive is enough to meet the requirements of laying, and there is no need to use adhesive backing. Tile adhesive has better adhesion and strength, which can fix tiles well and ensure their long-term stability. However, when using tile adhesive, pay attention to whether the grade of tile adhesive you buy is consistent with the tiled tile, if the tile adhesive is inconsistent with the size of your home tile, so that the tiling tile is easy to have the risk of empty drums falling off.
In this case, it may be necessary to use tile adhesive, it is recommended that you apply an extra layer of tile adhesive on the back of the tile to enhance the adhesion between the tile and the mortar material, and the tile will be more firm.
When laying large-sized tiles, it is also possible to provide better support and flatness by using adhesive backing to enhance the overall bonding effect. In addition, the adhesive can also play a role in moisture and heat protection, further improving the quality and durability of the installation.
