Some decoration whites have this question when decorating: since tile adhesive and tile adhesive are good partners for tiling, can the adhesive be added to the tile adhesive and mixed together to paste the tiles?
The answer is: No!
The adhesive is not an additive of tile adhesive and cannot be directly added to the tile adhesive for mixed construction. The adhesive is specially used for tile interface treatment, and it is a brick back interface treatment agent, and cannot be added to tile adhesive.
So what is the relationship between adhesive and tile adhesive?
The essence of adhesive is the interface treatment material of ceramic tile surface, which greatly improves the safety and reliability of ceramic tile paving. While adhesive backing is very important, it does not completely replace tile adhesive.
As a bonding material, tile adhesive can completely combine ceramic tiles, adhesive backing, and wall base layers.
Tile adhesive plays a role in strong bonding in tile paving, and adhesive is used between ceramic tiles and tile adhesive to absorb the stress of shrinkage and deformation.
Standard process for tile adhesive construction
Clean up the base
The base surface must be clean, free of grease, dust and other substances that have no isolation effect
Tile back clean
If there is a release agent or wax on the back of the tile, it can be removed with a brush or a wet rag
The powder liquid material is added and stirred
Open the material bucket, take out the powder, pour the liquid into the bucket first, and then slowly add the powder and stir it in proportion
Stir well without particles
Stir well with an electric mixer until there are no flour balls
Painting tiles
Use a brush to evenly scrape the glue to the back of the tile, with a thickness of about 1.2mm-1.5mm
Batch scraping tile adhesive
After the tile adhesive surface is dry, then use the floor solid tile adhesive to plaster the brick back and the base surface of the wall, and check whether the tile is hollow
